1715 📈 TABLE MOVERS

Premier League

Tottenham are third after their latest win at their new home. Burnley move 11 points clear off third bottom side Cardiff. Southampton are eight clear of the drop zone.

Cardiff look doomed, however Brighton's alarming drop will give them hope with five points between the two

Sky Bet Championship

Sheffield United are second on goal difference after conceding in injury time to draw with Millwall. Leeds United play Sheffield Wednesday at 5.30 knowing a point puts them second and three points would be huge, especially when the Blades could be missing Basham and Sharp for a while through injury and Egan with a ban.

WBA and Aston Villa are well in the play offs after their big wins, Boro are one off the top six after finally getting back to winning ways, Derby are two off after beating Bolton.

The trotters are almost relegated being nine from safety. Rotherham are one from safety after their point at Stoke.

Ipswich are relegated

Sky Bet League One

A rare Luton defeat leaves them five clear of Barnsley and seven of third place Sunderland. Barnsley are two ahead of Sunderland, but they still have a game in hand.

Big wins for Portsmouth and Charlton strengthen their play off positions, but will still fancy automatic being just a few points off it.

Bradford City are bottom and nine from safety and basically gone. Rochdale are one point above the drop zone.

Sky Bet League Two

Lincoln City are promoted but not as Champions - yet... Bury are second and two ahead of fourth place MK Dons.

Exeter are four clear of Carlisle in the final play off place

At the bottom Notts County and Yeovil are two points adrift from Macclesfield.

Let's try this again.... Aston Villa v Bristol City - BTTS

Five shots on goal already with the post being hit and a goal disallowed, it’s a real attacking game at Villa Park! Sky Bet have Both Teams To Score available at a price of even money, which looks good value at this point in the day.

Barnsley 1-0 Fleetwood

Barnsley's automatic promotion looking stronger now

1525 BLOW FOR BLADES

A big blow for promotion chasing Sheffield United as Chris Basham is forced off through injury. Instead of bringing on another centre-back, Chris Wilder has opted to throw on a striker in Gary Madine. Going for it...

1523 🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE

We still are confident Sunderland will score again against Coventry and they are 4/7 to score the fourth goal of the game

1521 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Sunderland 1-2 Coventry

What a game at the Stadium of light - goals on 12, 15 and 20 minutes

1518 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Reading 2-0 Brentford

It gets better for the Royals

QPR 3-0 Swansea

Hemed has two for the day

Lincoln 1-0 Cheltenham

Remember Lincoln will be promoted to Sky Bet League One if they win today, McCartan the scorer

1516 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Sunderland 1-1 Coventry

Ignore the below, Sunderland equalise straight away with Honeyman's eight goal of the season

Charlton 0-1 Luton

Also in Sky Bet League One, leaders Luton lead away with Comick's 15th minute goal

1515 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Sunderland 0-1 Coventry

A long way to go in this one, but this currently is a huge blow to Sunderland's chance of being automatically being promoted from Sky Bet League One

1509 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Ipswich Town 0-1 Birmingham City

Lukas Jutkiewicz left footed shot from very close range to the high centre of the goal. Assisted by Maxime Colin. If it stays like this then Ipswich are relegated

Reading 1-0 Brentford - Meite

Good start for Reading, but also for our ACCA and our EFL expert Tom Carnduff's tip backing Reading to win today

🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE - Aston Villa v Bristol City

Big absence for Aston Villa as captain Jack Grealish misses out through illness. It’s a huge game against play-off rivals Bristol City and Villa are a worse team without their influential midfielder. Does the great run come crashing to a halt? Bristol City/Draw on the double chance may be worth considering at 4/5 after that bit of team news

1508 🌩 GOAL FLASH

QPR 2-0 Swansea

1506 🌩 GOAL FLASH

QPR 1-0 Swansea

Darnell Furlongheader from the right side of the six yard box to the centre of the goal.

1502 🌩 GOAL FLASH

1500 🕒 KICK OFF

Whistles are going up and down the country and we will have all the goals, stats and in play betting advice

1457 ⚽️ SPORTING LIFE ACCA

Just a reminder of our EFL ACCA at 20/1, which we hope comes in for the second time in three weeks.

We are backing:

  • Reading to beat Brentford
  • West Brom to beat Preston
  • Portsmouth to beat Rochdale
  • Morecambe to beat Grimsby

1453 📊 STATS & IN PLAY ADVICE - Southampton v Wolves

Everyone is looking at this with interest to see how Wolves react to their defeat at Wembley last weekend. Southampton have been one of the form teams of 2019, with top five form. Wolves have been excellent all season - this could be a cracker

  • Southampton have won five of their 12 league games in 2019, only one fewer than they managed throughout 2018.
  • Saints have scored in 11 successive home league fixtures since October's goalless draw with Newcastle.
  • Nuno Espirito Santo's side are without a clean sheet in 12 Premier League away fixtures
  • Only Huddersfield have scored fewer first-half goals than the 12 by Wolves.
  • Wolves have lost six league fixtures against bottom half-of-the-table opponents, one more than versus top-half teams.

Both teams to score at 10/11 makes a lot of sense here.

Both teams to score in the second half at 3/1 looks an interesting selection too

1446 📊 STATS - Fulham v Everton

Everton are in really good form now, while it's just gone from bad to worse for already relegated Fulham

  • Everton could win four consecutive Premier League matches without conceding for just the second time, and first since a run of five 1-0 wins ended in November 2002.
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin has won 45 aerial duels in the last two months in the Premier League - more than any other striker during that period. So if you can find a market for him to score a header today, that might be worth a look. To just score any way at anytime he is 6/5

1444 📊 STATS & IN PLAY ADVICE - Burnley v Cardiff

Ashley Barnes and Burnley celebrate
Can Ashley Barnes score again this afternoon?

So here we have one team in the relegation zone and time running out to get out of it, and another hoping time does run out before they get back sucked into the fight.

  • Nine of the last 13 meetings have been draws and that’s at 5/2.
  • Ashley Barnes has scored three goals in as many league starts against Cardiff and he is 5/1 to score first and 6/5 anytime, and we are backing the latter
  • The Bluebirds have only scored one first-half away league goal this season, and hey have only won four of their 34 Premier League away games (D6, L24) and have not led any of those matches at half-time. So backing Burnley to lead at the break at 11/8 makes sense. A draw at half time is 11/10

Click here for the Burnley v Cardiff Market

1442 🎤 INTERVIEW

Lucas Moura reflects on his hat trick as Spurs beat Huddersfield 4-0 in the early kick off

1439 📊 STATS & IN PLAY ADVICE - Brighton v Bournemouth

Callum Wilson celebrates after scoring for Bournemouth at Huddersfield
Callum Wilson celebrates after scoring for Bournemouth at Huddersfield

Both need the points to arrest their slide towards the relegation zone.

  • Only Crystal Palace and Huddersfield have scored fewer home league goals than Brighton's 17 this season.
  • Glenn Murray has gone eight home league games without a goal - his longest drought since October 2011-April 2012. So if you expect him to end his dry spell today he is 6/5 any time with Sky Bet, but be aware he's only on the bench
  • Callum Wilson does start and has scored in both of his league appearances against Brighton at the Amex, so looking at him at 15/8 to score anytime looks good to us

1431 🕵 EFL TIPS

Tom Carduff is our EFL expert and these are two of his best bets for today's action - not too late to back them if you fancy them...

One man who can capitalise on Millwall's potential aerial dominance is Jake Cooper. The defender is a target at set-pieces due to his size and that's why he has had direct involvement in eleven goals this season.

He'll be a handful for the likes of John Egan and Chris Basham, with one of those two likely to man mark him on corners, and I'd say that he has the edge in terms of aerial battles over any of the United defence.

We can also see Cooper's impact at set-pieces through the stats. His 53 shots is the third-highest in this Millwall team.

Reading have picked up points in three of their last four games. Alongside that, their home form has been more than impressive, with just one defeat in their last seven.

Brentford have hit a bit of a brick wall in recent weeks and their slim hopes of a potential promotion have faded away. Thomas Frank's Bees have little to play for here, and that will play into Reading's hands.

Brentford's away form doesn't make for pretty reading either, highlighting how they are a side who do rely on home comforts. While they are the fourth-best home side in England's second-tier, they are the fifth-worst away with just 14 points gained from a possible 60.

🚨 SOCCER SATURDAY PRICE BOOST

Ahead of the 3pm kick-offs Sky Bet have Price Boosted the following:

Everton, Derby and Burnley all to win at 11/2

Everton and Derby to win, and Burnley to draw with Cardiff is 10/1

Everton, Derby and Cardiff all to win is 14/1

CHECK OUT THE MARKET HERE

1429 🕵 PREMIER LEAGUE TIPS

Here are our Premier League tips from George Pitts' preview

The Cottagers have improved under Parker, but have been poor in front of their own fans at Craven Cottage.

The hosts have conceded at least two in their last 13 matches and Everton have kept five clean sheets in six while scoring at least two in their last three away matches. With Everton still have something to fight for, they can coast to victory in west London and 2/1 on the handicap provides plenty of appeal.

In Hasenhuttl's seven Premier League wins, six of them have seen Southampton score at least two goals and four of them have been on home turf. The return of striker Danny Ings should give them a nice boost, too.

1424 ON TO THE 3PM'S

So no rest for the wicked, let's move on to our 3pm kick offs. We have four Premier League games and big matches in the Sky Bet EFL.

Things to look out for in the EFL:

  • Lincoln City can be promoted today if they beat Cheltenham at home in Sky Bet League Two
  • Lincoln can be crowned League Two Champions if they win and MK Dons, Bury and Mansfield drop points
  • Ipswich will be relegated from the Sky Bet Championship if they fail to beat Birmingham

1420 ⌛️ FULL TIME

Tottenham 4-0 Huddersfield

Seven changes, four goals and three for Moura - a perfect day for Tottenham, who go back up to third in the Premier League on 67 points.

Tottenham, in second gear, totally outclassed a negative Huddersfield and got their reward

Spurs have won all three games at their new stadium and still not let in a goal.

1419 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Tottenham 4-0 Huddersfield - Moura hat trick

Son picks it up 20 yards outside of the box and drives forward, before slipping Moura in at an angle on the right of the box.

He has a lot to do to beat Hamer from the angle, but he does! He finds the top left corner with a fine, flash finish. Brilliant goal!

1415 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Tottenham 3-0 Huddersfield - Moura

Moura has his second to wrap it up

Eriksen finds a pocket on the right flank, with Spurs three on three. The Dane cuts it central for Moura as Son takes two defenders with him, and Moura's touch is lovely.

It sets it up for him, 10 yards out, and he tucks it into the bottom right corner past Hamer!

1413 BACK TO SPURS

Back to this game. 4 mins left plus injury time and some subs

Vertonghen is off for Spurs, replaced by Rose. Llorente is brought off, without a goal but having played a big part today, replaced by Son for a few minutes.

So that means our Llorente tip didn't come in, sorry about that. But he's had six shots and hit the bar - we were so close

1413 📰 TEAM NEWS - Southampton v Wolves

Southampton have given a first Premier League start to Josh Sims. Wolves make one change to the side that were beaten in the FA Cup semi-final as Rui Patricio replaces John Ruddy in goal

1412 📰 TEAM NEWS - Fulham v Everton

One change for Fulham as Timothy Fosu-Mensah comes in in place of Cyrus Christie. Everton are unchanged from their win over Arsenal.

1411 📰 TEAM NEWS - Burnley v Cardiff

Little surprise to see Burnley unchanged from their victory at Bournemouth. Cardiff have brought Harry Arter and Kenneth Zohore into their starting line-up with Joe Ralls and Oumar Niasse dropping to the bench.

1410 📰 TEAM NEWS - Brighton v Bournemouth

Let's just break off for some team news from the 3pm Premier League games...

Brighton recall Florin And one and Jurgen Locadia to their starting line-up. Bournemouth have opted to have Callum Wilson and Josh Kind up front, while Steve Cook returns in defence and Artur Boruc is given the nod in goal

1409 SUB

Defender Stankovic off, midfielder Mooy on for the final 10 minutes for Town as they look for a way back into the game. They've looked good in the last 10 minutes, why didn't they play like this earlier

1406 CHANCE

Two in fact.... First Bacuna smashes a free kick from 30 yards out and Lloris makes a great save to tip it onto the bar - great free kick, great save

From that Spurs counter attack and Eriksen gets into the box and his deflected shot beats the keeper but hits the post

1404 FOUL

Hogg makes another foul but isn't carded - a in-play tip of ours - starting to think we are cursed in this game.

Ref was being kind on him there

TEAM NEWS

The team news from the 3pm games are coming in, so we will bring you those shortly, as well as our best bets for the Premier League and Sky Bet EFL

1403 BOOKING

Vertonghen is the second Spurs player to go in the book

1402 HOW HAS HE NOT SCORED?

Fernando Llorente has had six shots now - Huddersfield have had three.

1401 CHANCE

Mounie just on has a great chance with a header six yards out, but puts it wide

Town stay on 19 league goals this season.

1400 SUB

Jan Siewert is the first to make a change. Erik Durm is off, on comes Steve Mounie for Huddersfield.

1357

Well, just as we say that, Town get their first real chance on goal. Grant is through on goal but isn't quick enough and Tottenham get back to block the shot. Down the other end, Llorente is in space in the box but takes too much time and his effort is stopped! (He's had a number of opportunities now and hasn't taken them!)

1353

Bacuna becomes the second Huddersfield player in the book. They're showing no signs of a comeback here.

📸 STADIUM SHOT

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Yes, it was a little bit late, but what a stadium Tottenham now play in. It looks fantastic 👏

1347

First Tottenham booking of the afternoon as Juan Foyth is shown a yellow for a late challenge.

1342

Quiet apart from that Llorente chance. Huddersfield providing little threat, a team who look fed up of the Premier League by now?

1339 🎥 VIDEO GOAL HIGHLIGHTS

1334 SECOND HALF

Ahh, so close to our tip coming in straight at the start of the second half as Llorente collects a chip pass into the box and drills his shot off the bar. Great touch and control and cracking strike. So unlucky.

Hopefully it comes soon

1326 🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE

One of in play tips for this game has been for Fernando Llorente to score anytime, which is now 9/4 with Sky Bet, or he is 5/1 to score the third goal of the game

Just to back up our confidence here's a stat for you - he's had a hand in 15 goals in 18 starts for Spurs in all competitions (11 goals, four assists).

1317 ⏳ HALF TIME

Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield (Wanyama 24, Moura 27)

No Kane, no Alli, no Son, but that's no problem for Tottenham. The seven changes and fresh legs have worked a treat and Tottenham are well in control here even in a low gear.

They've been helped by a very negative Huddersfield

1315

First yellow of the day and it has done to Town left back Lowe for a clumsy and frustrated tackle in the Spurs' half

1312 WITH OR WITHOUT YOU

As U2 once sang – I can't live with or without you. In this case we are talking about Harry Kane.

Well these are the stats for Tottenham

With Kane

  • Games: 133
  • Won 80
  • Drawn: 27
  • Lost: 26
  • Win %: 60%

Without Kane

  • Games: 13
  • Won: 9
  • Drawn: 3
  • Lost 1
  • Win %: 69%

1309 🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE

Fernando Llorente has had three shots in this game, all off target and is getting more and more into the game.

The last time Harry Kane was out injured Llorente scored too.

So backing him at 2/1 to score anytime now looks good for us. He is 5/1 to score the next goal

1308 🎥 VIDEO GOAL HIGHLIGHTS

🚨 SKY BET PRICE BOOST

Sky Bet have Price Boosted Lucas Moura to score a brace to 3/1

1305

It's like a training game now - attack v defence, with Huddersfield still happy to allow Spurs the ball and sit deep for damage limitation.

As proof, Spurs have just had a 60 pass move before the ball goes into Hamer's hands

6⃣ SUPER 6

It’s round 57 of Super 6 with £250,000 up for grabs.

To get your hands on that jackpot you need to correctly predicted the final scores of these six matches today

  • Brighton v Bournemouth
  • Burnley v Cardiff
  • Fulham v Everton
  • Southampton v Wolves
  • Sheffield United v Millwall
  • Derby v Bolton

1300

Town have a chance. They win a corner and Stankovic gets free but doesn't make a good connection with his volley six yards out and it goes harmlessly wide rather than in the back of the net as it should have been. He did see it late to be fair to him.

1259 🎥 VIDEO GOAL HIGHLIGHT

1257 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield - Moura

Floodgates are open, lovely passing and moving on the edge of the box allows Moura in on the right side. Still lots to do from a difficult angle, but its a wonderful and powerful finish

1254 🌩 GOAL FLASH

Tottenham 1-0 Huddersfield - Wanyama

Tottenham score with their first shot on target, thanks to terrible defending.

Wanyama runs from midfield out of no where and picks up the free ball on the edge of the area, he drives passed a lacklustre tackle, round the keeper and tucks it away.

It's a lovely calm goal from Wanyama

1250

Sorry to stick the boot in here, but what are Huddersfield doing? Yes, Tottenham are a much better side, but with seven changes you might be able to rock them.

Town are already down and quite literally have nothing to lose, so why not attack and give everyone, especially your fans a bit of fun. If it means you lose 5-0 does it matter? No!

As these tactics means they will probably lose by such a scoreline anyway.

It's a shame, as boring football and negative tactics is what they will be remembered for, which is not what they deserve after their heroics last season

And yes, I'm writing this because there is nothing in the game to talk about.

(Watch Town win now I've said all this)

1247

BIG NEWS - Huddersfield get out of their own half and get the ball into the Spurs' box

Hadergjonaj crosses for Grant, but Vertonghen clears well, before Lowe's delivery from the left is also blocked first time by the Belgian.

1246

Davies' deep cross finds Walker-Peters back post, he nods it back across goal for Llorente, who then heads wide under pressure from Schindler.

1242 🔍 IN PLAY ADVICE

Lets go for our first in play advice of the afternoon.

Hogg to be carded at 21/10 currently. He's committed one foul so far and his Town side are being given the run around so far, with the midfield getting stretched from side to side as Spurs open up gaps.

He is a tough character and won't like this at the moment and will put in a hard challenge at some point you'd expect

1240

Wanyama has loads of time and space to take a touch, look up, decide what to do and then execute. He decides to shoot from 25 out and drags it just wide of the left upright along the floor. Hamer had it covered

1237

Cross from the left into the Town area is dropped by keeper Ben Hamer under a fair but light challenge from Moura. He collects at the second attempt, but it didn't look convincing

1233 ALL SPURS

Tottenham have started brightly and already forced a free kick on the edge of the Huddersfield penalty area, which came to nothing as Eriksen drove into the wall.

Town are playing very deep when the hosts have the ball, getting everyone back in their own half and allowing them plenty of time and space with it.

1230 KICK OFF

We are underway at the amazing new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where our Premier League expert Paul Higham backed Spurs to win to nil at Evens in is Preview

Huddersfield just don't score away from home and Spurs have yet to concede in their new home

1229 POCH ROTATING

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino: “This is very important game today but the plan was always to rotate some of the squad. We need fresh legs for this one, as they will make it different. There are plenty of players that want to play and we have a good squad.

“To win the game we need full energy from the very start of the game and this tea gives us that opportunity. We are very confident we can win with this team."

1226 📰 TEAM NEWS - Tottenham v Huddersfield

Let's get straight into the Premier League 12.30 kick off

Spurs make SEVEN changes from the side that beat Manchester City in midweek in the Champions League. A good few are enforced with Kane Ali and Winks out injured.

Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Sissoko and Christian Eriksen are the only ones to keep their place

Jan Siewert names three changes to the side which were beaten 4-1 by Leicester last Saturday as he decided who will be at the club and who won’t in the Sky Bet Championship next season.

The naughty Danish three are still left out in the cold, despite being some of their best players, and Leandro Bacuna, Florent Hadergjonaj and Elias Kachunga all come in.
