World Snooker Championship: John Higgins says Final scheduling is scandalous

John Higgins has hit out at what he calls 'scandalous' scheduling for the World Snooker Championship Final.

The Scot will compete in his eighth Crucible Final, and his third in a row, after his epic 17-16 victory over David Gilbert, which will go down as one of the greatest semi-finals ever.

“You're running about like you're on a hamster wheel - you're trying to fit in eight frames and rush back," said Higgins.

"The schedule has to change a bit. They need to look at starting earlier so you can get a lie-down a little bit and recharge the batteries. It's scandalous."

Watch the above video for Higgins' full comments.

Sporting Life will provide a full live blog of the World Championship Final throughout Sunday May 5 and Monday May 6 with our snooker expert Richard Mann.
