Arsenal 4-1 Fulham: Gunners respond to recent run with emphatic win as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang moves top of Golden Boot charts

Arsenal got back to winning ways in style as they beat Fulham 4-1 at the Emirates to get their Champions League push back on track.

After just one win in five and on the back of their 5-1 humbling at Liverpool, Unai Emery’s side put Fulham to the sword to move within two points of fourth-placed Chelsea.

Granit Xhaka and Alexandre Lacazette put the Gunners 2-0 up before substitute Aboubakar Kamara pulled a goal back eight minutes after coming off the bench.

Arsenal sub Aaron Ramsey then matched Kamara as he netted four minutes after coming on, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his 14th goal of the season to top the Golden Boot standings.

Fulham missed two great chances to draw first blood when Ryan Sessegnon sent his curling shot wide before squandering another opportunity by missing his kick.

Xhaka then put Arsenal in front as the Switzerland international stabbed Alex Iwobi's cross into the net in the 25th minute to score his first home Premier League goal since December 2017.

Lacazette doubled Arsenal's lead 10 minutes after the break when he finished off a good team move.

Substitute Kamara made amends for his penalty miss at the weekend when he pulled a goal back for Fulham in the 69th minute by firing in at the back post to reduce the deficit to a single goal.

Arsenal restored their two-goal advantage 11 minutes before the end when substitute Ramsey similarly found the net minutes after being introduced.

And Aubameyang made it 4-1 in the 83rd minute to wrap up the points.
