Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 40th goal of the season as Real Madrid claimed LaLiga glory for the first time since 2012.

Ronaldo's second-minute strike and Karim Benzema's effort after the break were enough to secure a 2-0 win at Malaga and hand Zinedine Zidane the first domestic trophy of his reign on a night when second-placed Barcelona had to come from behind to see off Eibar.

The game had barely begun when Ronaldo accepted Isco's perfectly-weighted through-ball and rounded keeper Carlos Kameni to open the scoring.

However, it took the visitors until 10 minutes into the second half to extend their lead, Benzema stabbing home from close range after Kameni had saved superbly from Sergio Ramos' volley.

If Zidane was celebrating, Barca counterpart Luis Enrique's final league campaign ended in disappointment despite a 4-2 victory at the Nou Camp.

The mood of the home fans had already darkened as news of Ronaldo's early strike filtered through, but it was to become significantly worse when midfielder Takashi Inui headed home from Ander Capa's seventh-minute cross.

Luis Suarez had an equaliser ruled out for offside seven minutes later, and the hosts were stunned again when Inui smashed home his second with 61 minutes gone.

Defender David Junca's own goal two minutes later lifted spirits and Barca were handed a chance to restore parity from a controversial 70th-minute penalty, only for keeper Yoel to save Lionel Messi's spot-kick.

Suarez did equalise from close range three minutes later and, after Capa had been dismissed for a foul on Neymar, Messi redeemed himself from the spot and then doubled his tally in added time.

Substitute Juanmi was Real Sociedad's hero as he struck deep into added time to secure Europa League football.

Sociedad were trailing 2-1 at Celta Vigo when Juanmi headed home a priceless equaliser in the fourth minute of added time to earn the point they needed to secure a top-six finish.

Midfielder Iago Aspas had put Celta ahead when he converted a 54th-minute penalty after being fouled by Inigo Martinez, but Mikel Oyarzabal levelled with eight minutes remaining.

Andrew Hjulsager looked to have dashed the visitors' hopes when he struck in the final minute of normal time, but Juanmi had other ideas.

They will be joined in the Europa League by Villarreal, who were 3-1 winners at Valencia.

Roberto Soldado got the visitors off to the perfect start when he fired them into a first-minute lead.

Nani headed the home side level nine minutes after the restart to set nerves jangling, but further goals from Manu Trigueros and Nicola Sansone clinched the victory.

It proved to be a disappointing afternoon for Athletic Bilbao, who missed out on a top-six finish after losing 3-1 at third-placed Atletico Madrid.

Fernando Torres did the damage with a double inside the opening 11 minutes and, although substitute Inaki Williams reduced the deficit with 19 minutes remaining, Angel Correa struck within seconds of being introduced as an 88th-minute substitute to seal the win.

Jorge Sampaoli led Sevilla to a 5-0 thrashing of already-relegated Osasuna in what could be his final game at the helm.

The 57-year-old Argentinian revealed this week that his country are looking to make him their new international coach and if this was his final game at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, he bowed out in style.

Vitolo and Franco Vazquez each scored a brace while ex-Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic was also on target for a Sevilla side that were guaranteed a fourth-placed finish regardless of the result, and went beyond Sampaoli's target of 70 points with the win.

For Osasuna, who were relegated with four games still to go, they ended the season having conceded a staggering 94 times across the 38 games.

Vitolo scored the first with a close-range finish from a rebound and Vazquez got off the mark by converting Sergio Escudero's cross.

Jovetic wriggled free of a couple of defenders before smashing home the third and another first-time Vazquez finish made it 4-0, with Vitolo completing his own brace with 10 minutes to go.

Ruben Castro finished the season with 13 goals after netting a brace in Real Betis' 2-2 draw with Sporting Gijon.

The home side led when Douglas scored in the seventh minute but Castro capitalised on goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar's mis-kick to level before beating the stopper again with a well-placed finish in the second half.

Betis were denied the three points, though, as Carlos Carmona held off Riza Durmisi at the back post to equalise with 11 minutes remaining.

Florin Andone scored twice for Deportivo La Coruna in a 3-0 win over Las Palmas, who lost a fifth straight game.

The Romanian followed up a close-range finish with a fine solo goal where he ran from halfway to make it 2-0, with Aston Villa loanee Carles Gil adding another with his first goal for the club.

Las Palmas' misery was completed when Hernan was dismissed for a pair of bookings.

David Timor's late wonder goal for Leganes stopped Alaves moving up to eighth as that contest finished 1-1.

The visitors took a second-half lead through Nenad Krsticic but Timor let fly from 35 yards late on to earn Leganes a share of the spoils.

On Friday night, Granada slumped to a seventh straight defeat under manager Tony Adams, losing 2-1 at home to Espanyol in their final match of the season.

Leo Baptistao's early strike and Ruben Vezo's own goal saw Granada fall 2-0 behind inside the first 10 minutes.

On-loan Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira replied for the home side before the break, but Adams' seven-game spell in charge ended pointless.

Former Arsenal and England skipper Adams was appointed head coach until the end of the season on April 10 following the sacking of Lucas Alcaraz, but Granada, already relegated, finished bottom of the table.

Italian Serie A

Juventus have become the first club to win the Serie A title six years in a row by beating Crotone 3-0.

Even though Roma had kept the pressure on with victory at Chievo on Saturday night, success in this penultimate fixture of the season saw Juve retain the Scudetto.

On his 31st birthday, Croatia striker Mario Mandzukic banished any fears about an afternoon of struggle with the opening goal, and Paulo Dybala eased any latent jitters with a well-taken second.

With time running out, midfielder Alex Sandro added gloss to the scoreline as Juve wrote a new page in the history of Italian football.

Having wrapped up the championship and clinched their third consecutive Coppa Italia over the last few days, Juve's focus must now turn to their Champions League final meeting with Real Madrid.

The defeat was not quite a death knell for relegation-threatened Crotone, who remain a point shy of Empoli and safety heading into their season-ending clash against Lazio next weekend.

Crotone only live to fight another day thanks to Atalanta, who beat 17th-placed Empoli 1-0 at the Stadio Carlo Castellani to confirm their own entry to the Europa League group stage.

Gian Piero Gasperini's team have blazed an unlikely trail all season long and the always-influential Alejandro Gomez was the match-winner in Tuscany, rifling home the decider after just 13 minutes.

Empoli had their chances to level in the second half, with veteran Massimo Maccarone coming very close, but they sit just one point clear of Crotone before visiting Palermo on the final day.

Underachieving AC Milan look set to find a route into Europe through the back door of sixth place after defeating Bologna 3-0 at San Siro.

Everton loanee Gerard Deulofeu found the opener 69 minutes into a nervy encounter and Keisuke Honda swiftly added a second before Gianluca Lapadula confirmed the outcome in stoppage time.

Both Sassuolo and Cagliari will finish in mid-table and mutual relaxation led to an eight-goal encounter in Reggio Emilia, where the hosts ran out 6-2 victors.

Francesco Magnanelli, Domenico Berardi and Matteo Politano had Sassuolo three goals up inside just 13 minutes, with Marco Sau replying before Stefano Sensi made it 4-1 heading into the break.

The contest was closer in the second half as, after Pietro Iemmello continued his fine goalscoring run with a penalty, Artur Ionita notched Cagliari's second. On the stroke of full-time, though, substitute Alessandro Matri rubber-stamped a conclusive home win.

Genoa secured their top-flight status with a 2-1 victory over Torino at the Marassi.

Luca Rigoni and Giovanni Simeone gave Grifone some reason to be cheerful towards the end of a dire campaign, with Adem Ljajic leaving it until late to grab a consolation goal for Torino.

Elsewhere, three players were sent off as Udinese and Sampdoria shared the points from a bad-tempered 1-1 draw.

Cyril Thereau blasted Udinese into an early lead but the Zebrette lost Rodrigo de Paul to a red card shortly after the restart.

Gabriel Silva's foul on Luis Muriel allowed the latter to equalise from the penalty spot but the Colombian's overenthusiastic celebrations sparked a brawl.

Muriel - formerly on the books at the Dacia Arena - was dismissed for his role in the scuffle, with Udinese defender Danilo promptly following him down the tunnel.

In the late game, Inter Milan snapped an eight-game winless streak with an overdue 3-1 win at nine-man Lazio.

The Nerazzurri can no longer qualify for Europe as they coast to the end of a dreadful campaign, which saw Stefano Pioli let the club drift into mid-table obscurity before his sacking.

Coppa Italia runners-up Lazio went in front through Keita Balde Diao but Marco Andreolli soon levelled before a Wesley Hoedt own goal put Inter - now under Stefano Vecchi - in the ascendancy.

Keita was dismissed following a spurious simulation call and, after Eder propelled Inter further clear, Lazio midfielder Senad Lulic was also given his marching orders.

Roma had closed the gap to Serie A leaders Juventus to a point after a thrilling 5-3 win at Chievo on Saturday.

Roma survived a scare though as they twice fell behind in the first half.

A Chievo victory would have handed the title to Juventus and Lucas Castro made made it 1-0 when he converted from close range, but Stephan El Shaarawy levelled from the edge of the box after 28 minutes.

Roberto Inglese restored Chievo's lead when he headed past Wojciech Szczesny eight minutes before the break.

But Mohamed Salah equalised again to make it 2-2 at the break before El Shaarawy put Roma ahead for the first time after 58 minutes.

Salah fired into the bottom corner for 4-2 and Edin Dzeko scored his 28th league goal of the season with seven minutes left when he drilled in from outside the box to put Roma in control.

Inglese then scored with three minutes left to pull a goal back for Chievo, who are set to finish in mid-table.

Napoli secured a 4-1 win over Fiorentina to keep their automatic Champions League qualification hopes alive.

They sit one adrift of Roma with avoidance of the Champions League play-off round at stake.

But defeat dented Fiorentina's Europa League hopes.

Koulibaly opened the scoring after eight minutes, bundling in from close range, and Napoli almost doubled their lead when Mertens hit the post after 26 minutes.

They did make it 2-0 nine minutes before the break when Insigne converted Mertens' pass and Mertens scored himself 12 minutes after the re-start, stabbing in after Ciprian Tatarusanu fumbled Insigne's effort.

Josip Ilicic did pull a goal back for the visitors but Mertens wrapped up victory with a fourth when he embarrassed Gonzalo Rodriguez and tapped in after Insigne's shot was saved.

German Bundesliga

Hamburg beat Wolfsburg 2-1 in dramatic fashion to secure their Bundesliga status and plunge the Wolves into a relegation play-off.

Wolfsburg, who lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals last year, must tackle a team from Germany's second tier to determine their fate.

They face a two-legged play-off against the third-placed side in Bundesliga 2 - who were Eintracht Braunschweig ahead of Sunday's final round of fixtures.

Needing victory to avoid the play-off after starting the final game in the bottom three, Hamburg snatched victory with Luca Waldschmidt's 88th-minute winner.

Robin Knoche had put Wolfsburg ahead but Filip Kostic levelled, and Waldschmidt delighted the Hamburg support when he headed in.

The most significant action was at the bottom of the table after Bayern Munich wrapped up the title in April. The champions finished their campaign with victory over Freiburg.

Arjen Robben, Arturo Vidal, Franck Ribery and Joshua Kimmich scored in a 4-1 win which means Carlo Ancelotti's side finished 15 points clear of Leipzig. Nil Petersen netted a consolation.

It also marked the final game for captain Philipp Lahm and Xabi Alonso before retirement.

Leipzig lost a 2-0 lead in the final seven minutes of their final game, as Jesus Vallejo and Danny Blum scored to earn Eintracht Frankfurt a 2-2 draw.

Marcel Sabitzer and Yussuf Poulsen had put Leipzig in charge as they completed a fairytale debut campaign in the top flight.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's late penalty handed Borussia Dortmund a 4-3 win over Werder Bremen to clinch third and a Champions League spot.

Aubameyang's two goals also meant he finished as the Bundesliga's top scorer with 31 goals, one ahead of Bayern's Robert Lewandowski.

Marco Reus also scored twice for the hosts while Bremen's Zlatko Junuzovic, Fin Bartels and Max Kruse netted for the visitors.

Dortmund's season ends next weekend when they meet Eintracht Frankfurt in the German cup final.

Hoffenheim drew 0-0 with Augsburg to finish fourth, while Cologne beat Mainz 2-0 thanks to goals from Jonas Hector and Yuya Osako to qualify for the Europa League.

It meant Augsburg avoided the relegation play-off and finished 13th while Mainz also escaped on goal difference to finish 15th.

Hertha Berlin's hopes of finishing fifth were dashed after a 6-2 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.

Elsewhere, Ingolstadt bowed out of the Bundesliga with a 1-1 draw at home to Schalke while already-relegated Darmstadt drew 2-2 with Borussia Monchengladbach.

French Ligue 1

Marseille secured Europa League football while Caen dramatically kept themselves in Ligue 1 in the final minutes of the season.

Marseille took on Bastia knowing that victory would keep them ahead of Bordeaux in fifth place, while their visitors needed all three points to have a chance of survival.

Bafetimbi Gomis' second-half strike was enough to earn OM a 1-0 win, relegating Bastia and leaving Bordeaux sixth after they drew 1-1 with Lorient in another game with ramifications at both ends of the table.

Younousse Sankhare's early goal was cancelled out by Vincent Le Goff and Bordeaux must hope Paris St Germain beat Angers in the Coupe de France final, which would mean the European berth passes to sixth place.

Le Goff's goal had Lorient on course for survival until injury time at the Parc des Princes, when Ronny Rodelin scored to earn Caen a 1-1 draw after PSG had led through Adrien Rabiot.

Rodelin missed a penalty and Julien Feret's goal was harshly disallowed but the former popped up in the first minute of stoppage time to keep his side up.

Lorient will contest the relegation play-off - against Troyes - as Dijon also kept themselves out of trouble by drawing 0-0 at Toulouse, who missed a penalty as Martin Braithwaite's shot hit the crossbar.

Bastia finished bottom after already-relegated Nancy beat St Etienne 3-1 with goals from Alexis Busin, Modou Diagne and Faitout Maouassa. Arnaud Nordin scored for ASSE.

Champions Monaco rounded their season off in suitably high-scoring fashion with a 3-2 win at Rennes.

Fabinho and Jemerson put the principality side two up and defender Jorge scored Monaco's 107th goal of the league season, sandwiched by Adama Diakhaby's brace for the hosts.

PSG's run of titles had ended at four but their second place was in no danger, and their nearest pursuers drew 3-3 in any case as Jean Michael Seri's late penalty earned third-placed Nice a point at Lyon.

Maxime Le Marchand's own goal put Lyon ahead and Alexandre Lacazette scored twice, bringing up his century of goals for Lyon, but Nice equalised twice through Anastasios Donis and then a third time thanks to Seri.

Nantes held on to seventh place despite losing 3-0 at Lille. Nicolas De Preville's hat-trick, the third a penalty after Lucas Lima was sent off, left the outcome in no doubt but St Etienne and Rennes missed the chance to overtake Nantes.

Guingamp joined ASSE and Rennes on 50 points as Mustapha Diallo's goal gave them a 1-0 win over Metz. Angers beat Montpellier 2-0 in the day's other game, with goals in the last 10 minutes from Jonathan Bamba and Flavien Tait.

Dutch Eredivisie

AZ Alkmaar will play FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie's Europa League play-off final after both sides comfortably negotiated their semi-final ties.

AZ had done the hard work against Groningen with a 4-1 win in Wednesday's first leg away from home, and they completed the job on Saturday with another 4-1 triumph, this time in front of their own fans.

Wout Weghorst, who netted twice in midweek, opened the scoring and a brace from Joris van Overeem either side of a Calvin Stengs goal sealed an 8-2 aggregate mauling. Bryan Linssen scored Groningen's goal on the night.

FC Utrecht, meanwhile, progressed with a 5-2 aggregate win over Heerenveen after a 2-1 second-leg victory on Saturday.

Ramon Leeuwin and Richairo Zivkovic struck in the first half to put the hosts further in control and Heerenveen could only respond through Reza Ghoochannejhad's 61st-minute penalty.
