Charlie Nicholas: Carabao Cup predictions

Soccer Saturday pundit Charlie Nicholas provides us with his predictions for Wednesday night's Carabao Cup action.

Charlie can only see a Spurs win at Wembley on Wednesday. Here's what Charlie is predicting for that one and Chelsea's clash with managerless Everton.

Tottenham v West Ham (Wednesday, 2000 BST, live on Sky Sports Football)

This could be feisty game but I can only see one outcome. Mauricio Pochettino’s tactics exposed Liverpool's vulnerabilities and their confidence must be sky high.

This is a good chance for Harry Kane to take a break, who will hopefully need to rest his hamstring until after the Arsenal game! Fernando Llorente will come in again and Dele Alli will get another game after missing quite a few, meaning Spurs still have plenty of attacking quality.

What does Slaven Billic do? If he plays a strong team they could still be embarrassed. I'm a fan of Bilic but this is a really average group players. Yes he's partly responsible, but I don't think you should judge him on a match like this.

I can't see anything but a comfortable night for Spurs and a win to nil looks a banker with the two clubs in contrasting situations.

Charlie predicts: 3-0 and Alli to score first (28/1 with Sky Bet)

Chelsea v Everton (Wednesday, 1945 BST)

What do Everton do there? Do they rest players or try to build something here? I think they are just going to Stamford Bridge looking not to get embarrassed.

Chelsea aren't playing well at all though. While Antonio Conte clearly doesn't fancy Michy Batshuayi he clearly needs him right now and I think he'll inflict yet another defeat on the Toffees.

Charlie predicts: 2-0 and Batshuayi to score first (14/1 with Sky Bet)
