RequestABet predictions for Arsenal v West Brom from Sporting Life and Charlie Nicholas

Charlie Nicholas and our team provide 25/1 and 33/1 RequestABet selections for Arsenal's clash against West Brom on Monday night.

Charlie Nicholas almost landed us a 175/1 acca last week as he correctly predicted three out of four upsets in the Carabao Cup and has another long-priced fancy for Monday Night Football, while our Tim Clement has also picked out a big-priced offering.

Charlie's RAB: Lacazette to score first, Arsenal to win by 3+ goals and 13+ match corners at 25/1

Charlie Nicholas says: "This is a game Arsenal just need to win. Their performance is irrelevant for me as they just need to keep rebuilding their confidence with positive results.

"Last weekend was as good as I’ve felt in terms of their defensive set-up for a long time. Alvaro Morata had a couple of headers but I didn’t have the same for of unease that I’ve had for a long time.

"Alex Iwobi had to fill in but he didn’t get on the ball enough so Mesut Ozil will come back in, then Alexis Sanchez will also start because of Danny Welbeck’s injury, but he should be on the bench otherwise.

"Sanchez getting 90 minutes will be important and Aaron Ramsey was absolutely fabulous against Chelsea. I’ve always said play him in the right position then he’ll do the business.

"West Brom will cause problems if they get set-pieces so the key is not giving them those situations to capitalise from.

"I think they will be pinned in for much of the game, especially as I think Arsenal are doing a better job with squeezing teams, so I can see discipline issues for Tony Pulis’ men, with the likes of Claudio Yacob getting clumsy in awkward situations.

"Arsenal have a lot of work to do to be considered title contenders again but they’ve sill got the talent to come games like this with some ease."

Sporting Life RAB: Ramsey to score, Arsenal to win, under 2.5 goals and under 30 match booking points - 33/1

Our Tim Clement writes: "The obvious narrative for this game might appear to be a slick Arsenal walloping lump-kickers West Brom, but the reality is very different.

"Yes the Baggies are a physically imposing side but they give very little away in terms of discipline, picking up just three bookings from their last three games, including against the swagger of Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.

"Indeed, they were booked just twice in their two meetings with the Gunners last season, with four yellows shown across the meetings, meaning under bookings looks the way to go.

"Arsene Wenger will also be directing his side to stay on their feet to prevent giving away set-pieces, from which he knows the visitors are at their most dangerous.

"As Dave John has highlighted in his preview, goals look to on the low side, with three of Arsenal’s last five wins over the Baggies being 1-0, but one man who should flourish against a deep-lying defence is Aaron Ramsey.

"The Welshman’s late runs into the box will make him difficult to pick up, while he’s averaging 2.2 shots per game this season, more than Alexandre Lacazette, and was only denied a stunning winner at Chelsea by the woodwork."
