Super 6: £50,000 winner set for Disneyland Paris

One of Saturday’s Super 6 winners says his £50,000 prize pot will prove “life-changing”.

Alan O’Mahony, a 36-year-old shop worker from Cork, plans to take his three children to Disneyland Paris following the windfall which came after the Liverpool supporter correctly predicted the scores of six football matches.

Alan was one of five winners who shared the £250,000 jackpot in Saturday’s round.

He initially made his selections on Thursday and admitted he almost picked Newcastle to beat Bristol City 2-1 but eventually plumped for 2-2 which proved crucial. Despite logging back in to check his picks on Saturday he didn’t make any changes.

“On Saturday morning, there was so many things I couldn’t have done, but at 10 past five it’s all possible,” he said.

“It’s life-changing.”

Alan already knows how he’ll be spending another part of the money – his wife’s birthday is on Sunday.

It was the fifth time this season that the £250,000 jackpot in the free-to-play game has been won.

Entries are now open for the next Super 6 game, which takes place next Saturday, March 4, and once again carries a £250,000 jackpot.
