Nottinghamshire have announced the signing of South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock for four Specsavers County Championship matches.
The 25-year-old will arrive at Trent Bridge in August and play as a specialist batsman against Division One rivals Hampshire, Surrey, Yorkshire and Essex.
De Kock, who has played 33 Tests, 90 one-day internationals and 31 Twenty20s for South Africa, has a first-class batting average of 42.28.
He said: "I'm very excited about joining Nottinghamshire and playing at one of the best grounds in the world at Trent Bridge.
"The team has made a brilliant start to the season in the championship and hopefully when I come over we can be challenging for the title in the final rounds."
Notts director of cricket Mick Newell added: "He's one of the best batsmen in the world across all formats and he will add some further firepower to our championship batting order."
