Jennings knows how it feels to be parachuted into the England line-up at short notice and the Durham batsman rose to the occasion when called up mid-series against India last December, marking his maiden international innings with a sensational century in Mumbai.
Curran is a late addition to England's squad ahead of the three-match one-day series against the Windies, which gets under way on Friday in Antigua.
The 21-year-old was summoned while with England Lions in Sri Lanka and faces a near 10,000-mile trip to the Caribbean.
But Jennings, who captained Curran in two unofficial Tests against Sri Lanka A, thinks it would be no bad thing if the Surrey seamer is able to slot straight into the England side.
Jennings told Press Association Sport: "The whirlwind of international cricket (means) sometimes you can get caught up in the excitement of getting called up and I think getting pulled in straight away is quite a nice way to go about it because you just crack on.
"I think TC is the kind of guy that will just crack on if he gets given a chance. I hope he gets a crack, he's got a few miles of flying until he gets there, I don't envy that at all!"
Curran had already established himself as one to watch on the county circuit, but made huge strides with the Lions in the sub-continent, where he blitzed through the opposition's top order in the second 'Test'.
While his superb four-wicket haul was ultimately in vain as Sri Lanka A were able to ensure the series finished all-square, his displays caught the eye and Jennings admits it is a nudge to what can be achieved.
He said: "To be involved with the squad when somebody gets called up is really special.
"It's a gentle reminder for the guys that they are very close and if anybody goes down with illness or injury then you could get called in. It's absolutely awesome for TC."
The rest of the Lions squad are now gearing up for a five-match 50-over series against Sri Lanka's second string, which starts on Thursday.
England batsman Ben Duckett, as well as Somerset seamer Jamie Overton and Worcestershire batsman Joe Clarke, are set to feature at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
Jennings added: "Sri Lanka's been awesome; the different culture, the food, the heat in Dambulla, just the whole package of the country has been really special and been really good fun to be a part of.
"The mood amongst the guys is really good, they're calm and ready to get started. We'll be keen to win some games and put Sri Lanka under pressure."
