Chennai Super Kings v Kings XI Punjab

Chennai Super Kings saw their unbeaten run in IPL 2019 come to an end when humbled by Mumbai Indians earlier in the week but they are still sitting pretty in third spot in the league table and will expect to resume winning ways back on home soil on Saturday.

Despite Kedar Jadhav's best efforts, the Super Kings' chase of 171 never got going on Wednesday but they had looked ominously good in winning their three previous three matches with spin trio Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh all impressing.

Tahir is up to seven wickets this season already and the visitors could have their work cut out if the Chennai wicket offers any assistance to the spinners again.

That said, Kings XI have been one of the most improved sides in the competition this season, also winning three of their opening four games, and their dramatic victory over Dehli Capitals on Monday was one of the greatest heists in IPL history.

Dehli had looked home and hosed when needing only 23 runs from 21 balls with seven wickets remaining but Mohammed Shami (2-27) and Sam Curran (4-11) produced two magnificent spells of bowling to pick up seven wickets for eight runs, the Surrey all-rounder finishing the match by taking a hat-trick.

Kings XI have really turned a corner this year. Their powerful batting line-up now boasts depth and muscle in equal measure while their bowling attack, as demonstrated already, has real bite to it.

They should certainly give the Super Kings a game on Saturday, for all the hosts are a formidable force at home.

Hyderabad Sunrisers v Mumbai Indians

Betting at odds-on in T20 cricket can often be fraught with danger but Hyderabad Sunrisers are as close to the complete T20 side that you could wish to see and should be backed accordingly when hosting Mumbai Indians on Saturday afternoon.

Having bumped into an inspired Andre Russell when losing their opening match of the season against Kolkata Knight Riders, the Sunrisers have not looked back since, winning their last three to surge to the top of the table.

Jonny Bairstow and David Warner have established a formidable partnership at the top of the order while the bowling, so often a strength of the Sunrisers, has really clicked in recent matches with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan finding something close to their best.

While Mohammad Nabi's inclusion might well keep captain Kane Williamson out of the side when he is back to full fitness, there is no doubt the Afghanistan all-rounder balances this Sunrisers side perfectly and he has made a big impression in recent weeks.

Back on home soil, the Sunrisers should be able to keep their winning run going against a Mumbai outfit who played really well as they beat Chennai Super Kings earlier the week but still have holes in their line up, particularly in the bowling department which relies heavily on the excellent Jasprit Bumrah.

The batting has also been inconsistent this season and up against a fabulous Sunrisers attack, you have to fear for the visitors.

The Sunrisers look rock solid and well worth keeping faith with.

Royal Challengers Bangalore v Delhi Capitals

Despite boasting star names Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, Royal Challengers Bangalore are perennial underachievers of the IPL and this season looks like going the same way following four defeats from four matches so far.

Kolhi has cut a frustrated figure of late and his own form - 78 runs at 19.50 - tells a sorry tale of a batting line-up that is yet to fire despite its obvious potential.

De Villiers has looked in marginally better nick but Parthiv Patel has been the only RCB batsman to really impress while the bowling, so often a big weakness for the franchise, has again proven over-reliant on leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

Kolhi's side will be hoping to finally kick start their season on Sunday but Dehli Capitals are a dangerous outfit whose batting has plenty going for it when on song, Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Ingram all firing at various stages this season.

With spinner Sandeep Lamichhane working his magic with the ball, it is no surprise that Dehli have won twice already this term but their last couple of results have been disappointing with the loss to Kings XI Punjab one that could potentially derail their season.

Dehli threw away a golden opportunity on that occasion when only needing only 23 runs from 21 balls, losing seven wickets for eight runs, and their subsequent loss to Hyderabad Sunrisers leaves their batting, in particular, with a few questions to answer.

With similar comments applicable to their opponents, RCB, this has to be a no-bet game.

Rajasthan Royals v Kolkata Knight Riders

One win from four matches for a team including the likes of Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer and Steve Smith is scant reward for Rajasthan Royals so far in IPL 2019 but they have probably been better than those results suggest.

They might well have beaten Kings XI Punjab early in the season had Buttler not been dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin via 'Mankad' while the Royals also pushed a strong Hyderabad Sunrisers outfit close in their clash.

I will be surprised if the Royals don't find a way up the table in the coming weeks but they face a fine Kolkata Knights Riders side on Sunday and the visitors look worth a bet.

KKR are two wins from three games so far this term with their sole defeat coming after a one-over eliminator that followed a thrilling contest with Dehli Capitals.

KKR's batting has been the most impressive aspect of their game so far with Andre Russell, Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana all averaging in excess of 40.

Russell has been one of the early stars of IPL 2019, his blistering unbeaten 49 inspiring KKR to an opening-match victory over the Sunrisers, and once Australian Chris Lynn finds his destructive best form, there is every reason to expect KKR to be genuine title contenders.

With spinner Sunil Narine expected to be fully fit again for Sunday's clash, KKR's experienced and reliable bowling attack should be back in full working order and they rate a bet at 10/11.
