India beat South Africa by seven runs at Newlands to clinch a thrilling 2-1 Twenty20 series win.
The tourists posted 172 for seven and although South Africa were always behind the required run rate, they launched a late assault before falling just short in Cape Town.
India opener Shikhar Dhawan (47 off 40 balls) and man-of-the-match Suresh Raina (43 off 27) did most of the damage, while South Africa pace bowler Junior Dala took three for 35.
South Africa toiled in reply as India bowled and fielded superbly on a sluggish pitch, but with 64 needed off the final 24 deliveries, the hosts began to throw their bats, with skipper JP Duminy (55 off 41) and debutant Christiaan Jonker (49 off 24) to the fore.
Hosts South Africa had levelled the series with a six-wicket win at SuperSport Park in Gauteng on Wednesday after India had won the opener in Johannesburg by 28 runs.
