India eased to victory by an innings and 130 runs to take a 1-0 lead against Bangladesh in the two-Test series.
Captain Virat Kohli declared overnight with the hosts on 493 for six at stumps on day two, principally thanks to Mayank Agarwal's impressive knock of 243, after restricting Bangladesh to 150 all out on the opening day in Indore.
India wrapped up the win on the third day at Holkar Stadium as the tourists slumped to 72 for five in their second innings.
The middle batting order did offer some resistance as Mushfiqur Rahim (64) shared half-century stands with Liton Das (35) and Mehidy Hasan (38).
However, Bangladesh were bowled out again for 213 as seam bowler Mohammed Shami finished with figures of four for 31 and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets for 42 runs.
