Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel claimed two wickets each as the West Indies moved into a strong position in the third Test against Sri Lanka on another day interrupted by the weather.
Captain Jason Holder top-scored with 74 as the hosts moved their overnight 132 for five to 205 before reducing the tourists to 99 for five, 105 adrift before stumps were called with just 59 overs possible on day two.
Roach removed both openers inside seven overs, inducing Kusal Perera to under-edge behind for a duck and Mahela Udawatte (four) was then trapped lbw to a ball that nipped back.
Kusal Mendis heaved across the line and was bowled by Gabriel for 22 and Danushka Gunathilaka was caught at cover off a no-ball but failed to take advantage of his reprieve when falling two balls later, lbw to Holder for 29.
Gabriel then trapped Dhananjaya de Silva lbw for eight to leave Sri Lanka under the cosh.
Earlier, Holder struck 13 boundaries in his 123-ball knock as Lahiru Kumara claimed three late wickets to finish with figures of four for 58.
