Dereck Chisora turns to David Haye as manager

Dereck Chisora has unexpectedly signed management terms with one-time bitter rival David Haye, the former world heavyweight champion has revealed.

The 34-year-old Chisora, who was stopped in five rounds in a 2012 grudge match with Haye that was built after they brawled at a press conference, has seen his reputation rise recently.

Chisora secured a career-best victory when defeating Carlos Takam in July and remains the favourite to fight Dillian Whyte in a rematch on December 22, in a bill that will be promoted by Matchroom.

"Boxing is a sport where inside those ropes, beef can be squashed and replaced with the type of respect forged between two warriors in the heat of battle," Haye wrote on social media.

"Looking forward to the challenge ahead with Del Boy Chisora and Hayemaker Boxing."
