Formerly known as the Betzenbergstadion, the Fritz-Walter-Stadion was renamed 20 years ago as a tribute to Germany's World Cup-winning captain of 1954.
Extended at a cost of 48.3million, the arena - which is built on a standstone hill - can house over 41,000 specators and can be a fearsome venue for visitors.
The home of Kaiserslautern, the famous old stadium first hosted a sporting event way back in 1920. |
