Built on the site of the Mungersdorfer Stadion and officially opened just two years ago, the Rhein Energie Stadion is the home of Bundesliga side FC Koln.

With a tower of light at each corner, the arena - on a site which has housed a sporting stadium since the early 1920s - is visible for miles around.

A capacity of 45,000 is the reward for investment in reconstruction of over 100million euros.
