Rhona Martin's curlers suffered their second defeat of the round-robin competition as they were hammered 9-3 by Canada.
It was sweet revenge for the Canadians who had been dumped out at the semi-final stage four years ago by Martin's team.
A missed draw by Martin late in the third end cost Great Britain dear and they never looked in with a shout against their fancied opponents.
Martin said: "Unfortunately the Canadians got a bit of head start and although we tried to keep it close, Canada got their shots in before we did."
Rory Morrish battled through a blizzard to finish 88th in the men's 15km classical cross-country, in Ireland's introduction to the 2006 Winter Games.
