Caroline Wozniacki defended her Pilot Pen Tennis crown after defeating Elena Vesnina in straight sets in Saturday's final.
The Dane, seeded second, rallied to a 6-2 6-4 success at New Haven for the sixth WTA title of her career and the third in 2009.
Wozniacki got off to a great start in the match, breaking the unseeded Russian in the opening game and from there she never looked back in moving into a 1-0 set lead.
The second set was a much tighter affair but the 19-year-old produced the goods at key moments to complete her victory in an hour and 16 minutes.
Wozniacki said: "I'm very happy the way I played this week and to win this tournament two times in a row feels really good.
"I've been working hard. Now it's my time. It's my turn to win some tournaments. I feel I've had a great year and I'm so happy it's my name coming up a lot of times now."
