Caroline Wozniacki won her second career title Saturday with a 3-6 6-4 6-1 victory over top-seeded Anna Chakvetadze in the final of the Pilot Pen Tennis.
Dane Wozniacki beat three seeded players en route to winning her first career Tier II championship. She also ousted third-seeded Marion Bartoli and seventh seed Alize Cornet.
Wozniacki, who claimed her first title at Stockholm earlier this month, recovered from a poor first set en route to pocket the first prize.
After having her serve broken three times in the opening set, Wozniacki faced just one break chance over the final two.
Meanwhile, she broke Chakvetadze's serve twice in both the second and third sets.
Wozniacki, 18, will hope to use this event as a springboard to the US Open, which starts on Monday.
She faces American wild card Ahsha Rolle in her first-round match.
After reaching the fourth round at the Australian Open for her best career showing in a major, Wozniacki made it to the third round at both the French Open and Wimbledon.
Chakvetadze failed in her bid to win her second title of the season.
The 21-year-old Russian won four titles in 2007 while also reaching the US Open semis.
Chakvetadze is the 10th seed at Flushing Meadows this year and will face countrywoman Ekaterina Makarova in the first round.
