Alize Cornet is one step away from the first singles title of her career after the second-seeded Frenchwoman advanced to the final of the Gaz de France Grand Prix on Saturday with a dominating 6-1 6-1 victory over Hungary's Greta Arn.
The 18-year-old has barely been tested during her first three matches at this Tier III red clay event, losing a combined 11 games.
She will be a clear favourite in Sunday's final against unseeded Andreja Klepac of Slovakia, who advanced with a 6-2 4-6 6-4 triumph over Croatia's Karolina Sprem.
Ranked 135th in the world, Klepac made headlines earlier in the week when she upset top seed Agnes Szavay, who was considered a heavy favourite playing on home soil.
The 22-year-old will be contesting her first WTA singles title Sunday.
Cornet has enjoyed a breakthrough year with runner-up efforts in Acapulco and Rome, in addition to reaching the semis at Amelia Island and Charleston.
She was the only seeded player to reach the semi-finals here and also the only one in the final four ranked inside the top 100, at number 20.
