Maria Kirilenko claimed her second title of the year by beating Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez to the Torneo Barcelona crown.

The Russian, seeded second, followed up her victory in Estoril in April, by seeing off the Spanish wild card 6-0 6-2.

Kirilenko was the stronger player throughout from the baseline, never allowing her left-handed opponent the chance to get into the contest.

Afterwards, she said: "It's my second title this year and I'm really happy everything is working so well on clay, because last year I didn't do so well during this season.

"I concentrated really well and kept any negative emotions inside. I played consistently and saw everything quite clearly. I feel great."
