Vera Zvonareva claimed her sixth WTA title on Sunday after beating third seed Victoria Azarenko in the final of the Prague Open.
The top-seeded Russian proved too strong for her Belarusian opponent as she claimed a 7-6 (7/2) 6-2 victory.
It marked Zvonareva's first trophy of 2008 at the fourth time of asking, having previously made the final in Hobart, Doha and Charleston.
"It was a tough match," Zvonareva said afterwards. "She is a tough young player and it was really close, especially the first set.
"We both had our chances in that set but I was able to pull it out. It felt great to get through such a tough match."
