Nuria Llagostera Vives claimed her second career WTA title with a convincing 6-0 6-4 victory over Maria Emelia Salerni in the final of the Copa Colsanitas Santander.

The 27-year-old Spanish qualifier did not drop a set in her five matches at the claycourt event and continued her dominance against Salerni to add to her previous tournament victory at Rabat in 2005.

Salerni, who endured three consecutive three-set matches to make it to the final, is still in search of her first career title.
