Anna Chakvetadze overcame a poor second set to capture her first WTA title of the season on Sunday.
Chakvetadze defeated Agnes Szavay of Hungary 6-3 2-6 6-2 in the final of the Open Gaz de France in Paris.
It was the seventh career title for the top-seeded Russian, who also ousted French favourites Marion Bartoli and Amelie Mauresmo during her terrific run at this indoor hard court event.
Chakvetadze, 20, completed the title with her win over the seventh-seeded Szavay, who was coming off Saturday's upset of fourth seed Elena Dementieva.
The world number seven, Chakvetadze fired three aces and converted five break points in a match which lasted two hours and five minutes.
After capitalising on Szavay's error-filled first set, Chakvetadze struggled in the second, committing four double-faults and going down two breaks.
But Chakvetadze regained her form in the third set to claim her first title since winning at Stanford last July.
Szavay, 19, had a breakout season a year ago as she claimed her first two singles titles, beat three top-10 players and rocketed from 185th in the rankings to 19.
But after a sensational run here in which she upset Dementieva - the world number 11 - and eighth-ranked Daniela Hantuchova, Szavay stumbled in the opening set Sunday, committing seven double-faults and falling behind three breaks.
