Second-seeded Daniela Hantuchova captured her fourth straight win over Patty Schnyder with a 6-4 6-2 victory in the final of the Generali Ladies Linz on Sunday.
It was the second title of the year for Hantuchova, who had lost in her previous two appearances in a championship match at Bali and Luxembourg in September. She won her previous title this year at Indian Wells in March.
With the win, the 24-year-old Slovakian also qualified for the WTA Tour Championships which will be held in Madrid next month.
It will be Hantuchova's second appearance in the season-ending event, and her first since 2002.
Trailing 4-2 in the first set, Hantuchova stormed back to win the set by taking the next five games.
In all, Hantuchova captured four breaks en route to improving to 9-8 all-time against Schynder.
This was the second final of the year for Schynder, who toppled third seed Marion Bartoli in the semi-finals on Saturday.
The sixth-seeded Swiss player also upset top seed Anna Chakvetadze in the quarter-finals.
Hantuchova will be joined in Madrid by Maria Sharapova who also qualifies as a result of the events in Linz.
Justine Henin, Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Serena Williams and Chakvetadze make up the field with Venus Williams having been forced to withdraw on doctors' advice.
