Top seed Tatiana Golovin claimed a second WTA Tour title with a 2-6 6-4 6-4 victory over home favourite Katarina Srebotnik in the Slovenia Open final on Sunday.
The world number 19 won the Tier IV hardcourt event in two hours 43 minutes to follow-up her Tier II victory in Amelia Island earlier this year.
Golovin also improved her lifetime record against the world number 24 to 2-1, having lost their first career meeting at 2003 Miami before prevailing in Antwerp earlier this year.
"I had a lot of trouble getting into the match in the first set; she was playing really well in front of her fans and it was just tough at the beginning," said Golovin.
"But I started to calm down in the second set and really began fighting. In the third I think we both played really good tennis. It was a really long match."
Fourth seed Srebotnik is now 0-1 in Tour singles finals this year, and 4-5 lifetime after finishing runner-up in Portoroz two years ago.
"She was playing too well in the second and third sets," said Srebotnik. "She was making some mistakes off the returns and in the rallies in the first set, and she wasn't serving well either.
"But she stopped giving me free points and made me work hard, and she definitely deserved to win. I admire what she showed today."
