Lindsay Davenport won the Bali title on Sunday in her first tournament following a 12-month absence.
The former world number one returned to singles action on the WTA Tour this week for the first time since giving birth in June.
And in the Commonwealth Bank Classic final she prevailed 6-4 3-6 6-2 against second seed Daniela Hantuchova.
Davenport had already beaten the top seed, Jelena Jankovic, en route to the final.
Currently ranked outside the world's top 200, the 31-year-old American will now surge back up the rankings when they are published on Monday.
Davenport is the second mother to win on the WTA Tour this year, following in the footsteps of Sybille Bammer who won in Pattaya City, Thailand, back in February.
Prior to this year, no mother had won on the tour since 1989.
