Akiko Morigami won her first WTA title when she beat top seed Marion Bartoli in the final of the Prague Open.
The 28-year-old from Tokyo triumphed in straight sets 6-1 6-3, closing out the match in just under an hour.
Bartoli's bid was unfortunately hampered when she strained her hip in practice prior to the match.
"I'm glad to say it went my way," said Morigami on sonyericssonwtatour.com.
"But it's very unfortunate for Marion and hopefully she'll be healthy again soon."
