Sybille Bammer claimed her maiden WTA Tour title in Thailand on Sunday - 12 years after turning professional.
The Austrian won a tense final of the Pattaya Open against Argentina's Gisela Dulko, emerging a 7-5 3-6 7-5 victor after saving three match points.
Dulko looked set for victory when leading 5-3 in the deciding set. However, she missed her match points in that game before blowing a 30-0 lead when serving for the title at 5-4.
After winning in just under three hours, Bammer, 26, said: "When I was down in the third I said 'Okay I'm down but I'll keep fighting and try to give my best'.
"Both of us wanted to win, and it was a big fight; today we were both winners. It was a tough match and I was lucky."
Bammer's win was the first by a mother - she has a five-year-old daughter - on the tour since 1989.
