Marion Bartoli ended a successful season with a bang.
The second-seeded Frenchwoman rolled to her third title of the season with a 6-0 6-0 thrashing of Russian Olga Poutchkova in Sunday's final of the Bell Challenge.
A semi-finalist at this US$175,000 Tier III hardcourt event last year, Bartoli improved to 45-28 by recording her first "double-bagel" victory since the first round of an ITF event in Dubai last December.
Bartoli beat Poutchkova for the third time this season, all in straight sets.
The 22-year-old, who opened the season with his first career WTA Tour title at Auckland, closed with a flurry, winning two of her final four events.
Ranked 19th in the world entering his event, Bartoli did not qualify for the season-ending WTA Tour Championships which begin in Madrid on Tuesday.
Poutchkova, who upset No. 4 Severine Bremond on Saturday to prevent an all-French final, fell to 0-2 in championship match appearances.
She managed just four games in a straight-sets loss to Martina Hingis at Kolkata, India in September.
