China's Tian Tian Sun won her first WTA Tour title at the Tashkent Open on Sunday.
The rising star beat home hope Iroda Tulyaganova 6-2 6-4 in the final.
Sun dropped only one set all week and her only stumble in the final came when she served for the match at 5-2 in the second set.
The Uzbek wild card broke on that occasion, but Sun completed victory by serving out at the second attempt.
"It feels good," said Sun, who had never even been beyond the quarter-finals of a tour event before.
"It was easier than I expected it to be. But it wasn't as easy as it seemed; Iroda is a very good player and she was playing at home."
