Top seed Svetlana Kuznetsova beat Marion Bartoli to land the WTA Wismilak International title in Bali.
The Russian, who won the US Open in 2004 and who made the French Open final this year, was a convincing 7-5 6-2 winner over her French foe.
It was the second title of the year for the 21-year-old Kuznetsova and the seventh of her career.
"I don't know why I play so well here,'' said Kuznetsova, the world's fifth-ranked player.
"I don't think it's just good luck, as I work very hard to be where I am. To be ranked in the top five, you have to have a very professional approach to your job.
"However, it's such a wonderful place to play tennis, and that definitely makes me feel relaxed and comfortable.''
Kuznetsova, whose only other title this season came at Miami in April, struggled in the early stages against sixth seed Bartoli before cruising in the second set.
"I would like to have won the match a little easier, but I managed to play well when I needed to,'' the Russian added.
"I served well after getting into some difficult spots. But after the tough first set, it looked like she was getting tired.''
After the match, Bartoli complained about an incident in the warm-up in which she alleged that Kuznetsova had deliberately hit a ball at her.
"She hit the ball hard straight at me," claimed Bartoli. "It didn't affect my game, but it was a shock."
Kuznetsova denied she did it on purpose, saying: "She was standing just at the net, I was hitting from behind the baseline and we were hitting hard.
"When she saw that ball coming, she didn't seem to move.
"I'm sorry it happened, but I couldn't do anything else, I couldn't take the shot back."
On the match, Bartoli added: "I think I started the match very well.
"I kept up with her for much of the time. But I began to feel a little tired in the second set after such a big match last night.
"I tried to attack her backhand as her forehand is the stronger shot, and it worked earlier in the match. But she was just too tough in the end. That's what makes her such a good player.''
