Teenager Ana Ivanovic won the first title of her career at the Canberra Classic - just her fifth WTA Tour event.
The 17-year-old, from Serbia and Montenegro, beat Melinda Czink 7-5 6-1 in the Australian capital.
Czink had her chances, most notably when she served for the first set at 5-4.
But Ivanovic broke straight back and lost just one more game after that pivotal moment.
Remarkably the pair had met in qualifying - Ivanovic also winning - but Czink then made the main draw as a lucky loser following the withdrawal of Katarina Srebotnik.
It was the first time in tour history that a qualifier and lucky loser have met again in a main draw final.
