Nadia Petrova collected her second title of the season by rallying for a 4-6 6-4 6-1 victory over Bethanie Mattek in the final of the Bell Challenge on Sunday.
Playing in her fourth final of the year, the top-seeded Russian overcame the loss of the first set and a 4-2 deficit in the second by reeling off 10 of the final 11 games.
It was the eighth career title for the 26-year-old Petrova, who also claimed the crown at Cincinnati in August.
Petrova's win was her second straight over an American opponent, having ended lucky loser Angela Haynes' surprising run through the draw with a 6-1 6-3 win in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Mattek, 23, was attempting to become the eighth American to win here in the 16-year history of the event.
Former US Open champion Lindsay Davenport claimed the crown last year.
The sixth seed, Mattek advanced to her first career final with a 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 victory over number five Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada on Saturday.
