Ana Ivanovic celebrated her qualification for the Sony Ericsson Championships with victory in the final of the Fortis Championships on Sunday.
Just one day after becoming the fourth player to qualify for the season-ending event in Spain in November, the second-seeded Serbian rallied for a 3-6 6-4 6-4 victory over fourth seed Daniela Hantuchova.
It was the third title of the year and fifth of her career for Ivanovic, who won at Berlin and Los Angeles. She also reached her first grand slam final at the French Open.
Ranked sixth in the world, the 19-year-old has reached the eight-woman year-ending championships for the first time in her career.
After posting three consecutive straight-set victories in Luxembourg, Ivanovic was able to bounce back from an erratic opening set en route to collecting first prize.
Ivanovic also avenged a straight-sets loss to Hantuchova in the quarter-finals at S'Hertogenbosch in June.
It was the second loss in a final for Hantuchova this month, as the Slovakian also came up short against Lindsay Davenport at Bali two weeks ago.
