Holders Italy, Russia, the United States and France are the four Fed Cup semi-finalists after winning their World Group quarter-finals with plenty to spare.
All four wrapped up unassailable 3-0 leads by winning their respective first Sunday rubbers and went on to record 5-0 whitewashes.
Tathiana Garbin sealed the win for Italy with a 3-6 6-2 6-4 triumph over China's Shuai Zhang in the first singles match on Sunday at Castellanata Marina.
Zhang battled bravely as an injury replacement for Shuai Peng who had been forced to quit in her match with Flavia Pennetta on Saturday.
Italy won the remaining two dead rubbers and can now look forward to a home semi-final with France, who dispatched Japan 5-0 in Limoges.
"We play again in Italy against France," said Garbin.
"It will be a tough match but I think we are a very good team," said the woman from Mestre near Venice. "And at home, we like it better."
Tatiana Golovin secured the tie for France who also went on to sweep the board against the Japanese.
She outlasted Ai Sugiyama 7-6 (7/3) 6-0 to complete the job for France who had won both of Saturday's singles matches.
Les Bleus hope Amelie Mauresmo will be back for the Italy semi-final after she missed the Limoges tie.
"I hope we will get Amelie for the next tie," said skipper George Goven. "It's going to be tough versus the Italians but if we have our best team I think we can have the edge."
Russia wasted no time in wrapping up the third rubber before going on to wipe out Spain 5-0.
It fell to Svetlana Kuznetsova to seal the victory with a 6-3 4-6 6-0 victory at the expense of Anabel Medina Garrigues to the delight of skipper Shamil Tarpischev who inspired Russia's men to Davis Cup victory in December.
"I am happy overall but I'm not happy with the second set," said Kuznetsova. "I felt weird and my head started going around and around."
Russia next play away against the United States whose reserve player Vania King sealed a 4-6 6-4 7-5 win against Kirsten Flipkens in the third rubber against Belgium to secure a semi-final spot.
