Top seed Martina Hingis capped off a dominant showing at the Sunfeast Open on Sunday with a 6-0 6-4 defeat of Olga Poutchkova of Russia.
A five-time grand slam champion, Hingis captured her second title in 2006, her first full season back on the WTA Tour after a three-year absence.
Overall, it was her 42nd career title in 66 appearances in a final.
"I'm very happy with my comeback year," said Hingis, the ninth-ranked player in the world.
"Getting to the top 10 was a dream and the next dream is making it to the Sony Ericsson Championships in Madrid."
The 25-year-old Swiss did not drop a set in the tournament and lost just five games from the semi-final onwards.
On Saturday, the Swiss star took apart fifth seed and local favourite Sania Mirza 6-1 6-0.
"I played very well.
The first set was almost scary," Hingis said.
"When you play a set like that, you can lose a little concentration.
She managed to get to 3-1 in the second before I got my concentration back.
"I stepped up when I had to."
Ranked 97th in the world, Poutchkova was playing her first WTA Tour final.
The 18-year-old upset seventh seed Nicole Pratt in the second round on Wednesday.
"It was my very first final and it was against Martina Hingis," Poutchkova said.
"Yes, I was a little bit nervous, but I feel very good about the experience.
"In the second set, she gave me some chances, then she took them away."
Poutchkova admitted to being in awe of Hingis, a player she idolised growing up.
"It's amazing to me," Poutchkova said.
"I used to watch her in grand slam finals when I was 12."
