Michaella Krajicek clinched the third singles title of her career on Saturday with a straight-sets victory over Dinara Safina at the Ordina Open.
The 17-year-old Dutchwoman followed on from her unexpected semi-final win over top seed Elena Dementieva with a 6-3 6-4 result against second-seeded Safina from Russia.
The success marked Krajicek's second title of the year, having also triumphed in Hobart, while the meeting with Safina was notable as a contest between two younger sisters of former grand slam champions.
Krajicek's brother Richard won Wimbledon 10 years ago while Safina is the sister of the 2000 US Open champion Marat Safin.
