Top seed Amelie Mauresmo did not look nearly as shaky in the Open Gaz de France final as she did in the semis.
Mauresmo defeated second seed Mary Pierce, 6-1 7-6 (7-2), on Sunday in the first all-French final in the 14-year history of the Tier II indoor event.
It was the 11th consecutive victory for Mauresmo, who won her first Grand Slam at the Australian Open two weeks ago.
On Saturday, Mauresmo saved a match point in a 6-7 (5-7) 7-5 6-2 triumph over compatriot Tatiana Golovin in the semi-finals.
Mauresmo improved to 6-4 lifetime against Pierce, whom she edged in the final of the year-end WTA Tour Championships last November.
