Michaella Krajicek won only the second WTA Tour title of her career by beating Iveta Benesova in the final of the Moorilla International.
The Dutch youngster, who turned 17 earlier in the week, enjoyed a comfortable victory over her Czech opponent, winning 6-2 6-1 in 49 minutes.
Benesova, 22, failed to produce the tennis that saw her seeded fifth for this event and provided little resistance.
"I feel very good," said Krajicek. "I played a tremendous match. It was one of my best matches in my whole career, even though Iveta said she didn't play that well.
"I'm very happy to win my second title so soon."
Krajicek's previous victory came at Tashkent last October and means she goes into the Australian Open in good shape.
She meets Puerto Rico's Kristina Brandi in the first round.
"It gives me a lot of confidence for the Australian Open. I've played a lot of matches and I think I'm in good shape," added Krajicek.
"I saw the draw. It's pretty tough but it's not the worst I can get. I think I have a good chance to win the first round and then we will see."
Benesova's first hurdle at the Australian Open, which begins on January 16, is Rika Fujiwara of Japan.
