Holland's Michaella Krajicek claimed the WTA
Tashkent Open title with a 6-0 4-6 6-3 victory over home favourite Akgul
Amanmuradova in the Uzbekistan capital on Sunday.
Fifth-seed Krajicek - the sister of 1996 men's Wimbledon champion Richard -
was in destructive mood in the first set, breaking her opponent three times, but
she was pegged back by the big-serving Uzbekistani wildcard in the second.
The 16-year-old managed to recover her composure, however, to secure the
victory in a tense third set and seal her first-ever singles title on the WTA
Tour.
