Top seed Kim Clijsters clinched the Fortis
Championships for the fifth time on Sunday with a 6-2 6-4 victory over unseeded
Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany.
Competing in her first tournament since capturing the US Open, Clijsters is
25-2 on the WTA Tour since a fourth-round loss at Wimbledon.
Groenefeld, who beat seventh-seeded Dinara Safina of Russia 6-4 5-7 6-4 to
advance to the finals, was looking for her first career title but dropped to 0-2
against Clijsters all-time.
