Patty Schnyder thrashed Akiko Morigami of Japan
6-4 6-0 on Sunday to win the Western & Southern Group Women's Open.
The top-seeded Schnyder claimed her 10th career singles title at the hard
court event but her first in America.
It was the second title of the year for Schnyder, who won at Gold Coast in

She had upset second seed Vera Zvonareva of Russia and fourth seed Daniela
Hantuchova of Slovakia this week.
