Fifteen-year-old Nicole Vaidisova caused a sensation by winning the Odlum Brown Vancouver Open in only her third WTA Tour event.
Playing as a qualifier, the Czech recorded a 2-6 6-4 6-2 victory over fourth seed Laura Granville in the final.
"I feel great," Vaidisova said. "It was my goal coming from qualies to try to win this tournament. It just really feels great because I did my best."
Ranked 174th in the world, Vaidisova is the youngest player to win a title on the tour this year and the sixth youngest singles champion in tour history.
