Top seed Vera Zvonareva staged a remarkable fightback in the final of the Kroger St Jude to lift the Cellular South Cup.

The Russian came back from the brink of defeat to end Lisa Raymond's domination of the tournament.

Zvonareva saved three championship points and came back from 5-2 down in the third set before defeating the American 4-6 6-4 7-5 in two hours 22 minutes.

Raymond had won this tournament for the last two years and Zvonareva also avenged a three-set loss to the American last year in Philadelphia.
