Magui Serna won her second successive WTA singles title in two weeks on Sunday with a determined display against Alicia Molik at the Budapest Grand Prix.
Serna, the tournament's second seed, followed up her defence of the Estoril title last weekend with a 3-6 7-5 6-4 win over third seeded Australian Molik in two hours, 18 minutes.
The 24-year-old Spaniard is now on a 10-match winning streak and collected her third career WTA title in her sixth final.
"I'm very tired after playing a lot of tennis in the past couple of weeks, but to win two titles in a row I'm obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Serna.
"That definitely helped me today in the final. Because I am playing well, I'm trying different things with my game - different shots and tactics - and these came off.
"Whenever you do well at a tournament you always do your best to come back, especially if you have a title to defend. So, I'm very much looking forward to returning to Budapest next year."
Molik, 22, was appearing in her second consecutive final, the first Australian woman to achieve this feat since Anne Minter won consecutive titles at Taipei and Singapore in 1987.
She said: "I played my best but Magui was just too good when it mattered most.
"I've got to be happy with my week here, and more so the past few weeks. Clay isn't necessarily my strongest surface, but I just continue to play my game, and I think it holds up well whether I'm playing on hardcourts, grass or clay, as I've shown in the past few weeks.
"Full credit to Magui - the second set was so tight and she was very tough at that stage of the match. I'm really happy with my form at the moment and I'm looking forward to seeing how well I can do for the rest of the clay season."
