Uzbekistan teenager Iroda Tulyaganova
continued her sensational form with a convincing victory over Spain's Gala Leon
Garcia in the final of the Sanex Trophy in Belgium.
The unheralded 19-year-old, who began the year ranked 75 in the world, sent top
seed and home favourite Kim Clijsters crashing out of the semi-finals on Saturday.
And she followed that up with a straight-sets victory over Leon Garcia in the final.
The match-up between the two unseeded players was settled in quick time as
Tulyaganova continued her assault on the rankings with a 6-2 6-3 win.
It is Tulyaganova's second title of the year following her win in Vienna last
week and the third of her career.
The impressive teen has moved from 75th to 34th in recent weeks and could crack
the top 30 when rankings are released on Monday.
Garcia reached the finals without facing a seed in the upset-filled event.
