1840 : Thank you for joining us for all today's action. We will get back under way at midday tomorrow for the men's last eight matches. Andy Murray will be second on Centre Court.
1838 : A bee puts off Robson as she serves at match point but the Brit keeps her cool as she wins the point after a long rally to secure her place in the last 16 of the girls singles. She claimed victory in straight sets.
1835 : Now time for Robson to serve for the match.
1827 : All going well for Robson as she bags another break to move 4-1 up. Good times.
1820 : Still on serve on Court Four as Robson leads 3-2 with a break.
1810 : A double fault from Peers hands Robson two break points. She only needs one as the Australian is unable to deal with a powerful smash. 1-0 at the start of the second set to the Brit.
1807 : No drama for Robson as she bags the opening set 6-3. Peers is 18, three years older than Robson, and plays the majority of her tennis on the senior circuit.
1805 : The men's doubles match on Court Two is finally over as Moodie and Norman beat Pavel and Tecau 3-6 6-3 6-4 6-7 14-12. Credit to fans who sat through the entirety of that 228 minute contest.
1802 : Robson breaks as she moves 5-3 up in the opening set to earn the opportunity to serve for glory.
1759 : The answer to Rosie's question is no. The lights are part of the roof so cannot operate when it is open. Any more thoughts on roofgate? Get in touch to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1756 : Rosie Barr has a question that she wants answered. "Can you have the floodlights on in centre court be on while the roof is open? If so, why did they not do this last night? I think the roof should only be shut when it's raining although saying that it did look pretty spectacular last night."
1752 : The ongoing men's doubles match on Court Two between Moddie and Norman and Pavel and Tecau continues with the score 12-12 in the fifth set.
1747 : Next two games go with serve as both players look steady at the start. Decent crowd for this match with plenty of sunglasses.
1744 : Slightly shaky start from Robson but she battle through to take her opening service game.
1734 : Robson is warming up on Court Four now. She will be taking on Australian Sally Peers in the girls' singles. Robson to serve first.
1728 : I think Serena was the most impressive of today's quarter-final winner but what are your thoughts? Get in touch to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1722 : Good news for Robson fans. She will be next up on Court Four.
1721 : British favourite Laura Robson is still due on court for the girl's singles today. No sign of an immediate appearance as the men's doubles match on Court Two is at 8-7 in the fifth set.
1714 : The semi-final line up reads as follows: Venus Williams v Dinara Safina and Elena Dementieva v Serena Williams.
1713 : Three match points to Serena. She takes the first as a forehand winner hits the baseline and beats Azarenka with ease. Very convincing performance from the second seed as she becomes the second member of the Williams family to reach the semi-finals.
1712 : Serena goes 30-0 up with ease and it looks like we are nearing the conclusion of this match.
1710 : And so it proves as Azarenka sends a forehand long with the score on 15-40 to hand Serena the chance to serve for the match. The American will face Dementieva in the next round if she wins this game.
1708 : Big points ahead as Serena goes 0-30 up on the Azarenka serve.
1702 : Serena gets another break point and this time she takes advantage as Azarenka is unable to keep the ball in play. The Belarusian throws her racquet to the ground but it bounces up and hits her in the chin in true 'You've Been Framed' style.
1701 : Azarenka produces an astonishingly bad forehand to gives Serena another break point. The ball went out on the full. The eighth seed does well to bounce back with a winner down the line.
1700 : Serena fails to take a chance to break back as Azarenka gets to a nice drop shot and the American is unable to deal with the resulting shot. We are at deuce.
1657 : Vik Dowlul has an interesting take on Roofgate. He writes: "I cannot really understand the thinking behind not opening the roof last night. Surely they could have taken the chance on it not raining. What is it, ten minutes to close the roof and another twenty minutes for acclimatisation. As a purist I would much rather have the natural surroundings if possible. Was this just another publicity move by the All England Club in the face of pure tennis!!!" Let me know your reply to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1655 : Azarenka takes the second break point after she hits an attempted forehand winner narrowky wide on the first one. Big chance for her now to push on and bag this set. Bright blue sky still above centre court.
1652 : Two break points for Azarenka at 15-40 on the Serena serve. Poor effort out on the left hand side of the court hands the Belarusian the chance.
1650 : Good spirit from Azarenka as she bags the next two points to keep us on serve at 2-2. Good quality match but not quite the drama of Safina v Lisicki yet.
1649 : Serena fails to take break point as she sends a shot, which would be described in cricket terms, as a hoik to long off. No one is there to take the catch.
1648 : It seems strange that we are nearly through with the day's singles action after yesterday's epic at SW19. No chance of anyone needing any Horlicks to stay up with the action tonight.
1646 : A slight tumble for Serena but to the relief of everyone on Centre Court she is able to get back to her feet.
1642 : Staying with Twitter and I'm not shocked to see that there have been no updates from Andy Murray today. I presume he is recovering after Roofgate last night. Remember he is second on Centre Court tomorrow.
1639 : Azarenka gets back on track as she holds her serve.
1637 : Good news for fans of the Williams sisters. Venus is now on Twitter as well and told the world in her last update that she enjoyed yesterday at SW19. I can only assume today has been a good day too.
1635 : Serena follows up with two more aces to leave Azarenka grumbling at the back of the court. The eighth seed has lost her last two service games so get set for an interesting contest.
1634 : Azarenka earns a second break point in Serena's opening service game of the second set. However, a powerful second serve ace gets us to deuce. Superb work from the American.
1632 : Peter Wenham has some advice for Safina. He writes: "She'd better be cutting out the wild unforced errors - into the net, miles long and double faults. ( I've often thought it would be more entertaining if linespeople expressed greater variety then calling out - 'just out', 'well out' and 'miles (kms) out')." That is an interesting suggestion which may be of interest to the All England Club.
1630 : Welsh songstress Katherine Jenkins is in the Royal Box as well today. I remember she was oncein Emmerdale at a village fete but that shouldn't worry Serena or Azarenka at the moment.
1628 : I don't think anyone will be shocked to know that Andy Murray is second on Centre Court tomorrow. Here is the order of play for the men's singles quarter-finals. Centre: 13:00 (22) Ivo Karlovic (Cro) v (2) Roger Federer (Swi), (3) Andy Murray (Gbr) v Juan Carlos Ferrero (Spa) Court No 1: 13:00 (24) Tommy Haas (Ger) v (4) Novak Djokovic (Ser), Lleyton Hewitt (Aus) v (6) Andy Roddick (USA)
1627 : Venus is in the crowd to support her sister. Both ladies have played well today so thoughts of an all-Williams final have a lot of credence.
1626 : Cracking forehand winner from Serena earns her the first set. Very impressive display from the second seed so far.
1624 : Elena Dementieva is in good spirits after she reached the last four. She said: "I am just very happy to be in the semi-final again. "It was a tough match despite the score. The weather conditions were tough today so I'm glad to go through. I was trying to play very aggressive and make it as quick as possible because it is very hot out there. "I am sure it will be a tough challenge for me against Serena, if she gets though, as she likes to play on grass. But I just want to give myself another try.''
1622 : Serena holds her next service game with ease to take us to 5-2. Azarenka is now serving to stay in the set.
1621 : Serena bags the first break. She is 4-2 up in the first and looking to set up two Williams v Russia semi-finals.
1620 : Stephen Marlow is predicting a tough time for Andy Murray as he bids to reach the final. He writes: "I wouldn't write off Roddick or Hewitt just yet as they have both played great tennis in the tournament and both look determined to get to the final. I reckon there could be an upset in the semi's. As for Fererro I haven't seen him in action this year or how on form he is but he also has good potential. Murray definitely has a chance to get to the final but I just don't see It being a walk in the park for him if he does." Do any of you think Ferrero has a realistic chance of beating the Brit? Tell me at nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1613 : Still on serve at 2-2. Both players are looking good so get ready for an interesting clash.
1608 : Celeb watch can now add golf ace Colin Montgomerie to its ranks. No sign of Sir Trevor McDonald back at SW19 today.
1605 : All on serve so far on Centre as the score is at 1-1. Plenty of good shots so we could be in for an entertaining contest.
1604 : A bit of history on this contest. Azarenka beat Serena in the final in Miami and also held a one-set advantage at the Australian Open before being forced to retire because of the heat. This coulc be a tough test for the second seed.
1602 : We are under way on Centre Court with Serena serving first.
1600 : Serena and Azarenka continue to warm up on Centre Court. This is now the final women's quarter-final clash as Venus Williams, Dinara Safina and Elena Dementieva have already sealed their progress. The winner of the match about to start will face Dementieva.
1557 : Barry O'Mahony in Ireland isn't too confident about Andy Murray's title chances. He writes: "I would be extremely surprised if Murray won this title. He played well last night in an epic and everyone is saying that playing a five-set match will help him. Possibly true but Hewitt also played five sets and looked more impressive as the match went on. Roddick and Ferrero won easily and just because these players didn't have tough matches doesn't mean they didn't play really well. If Murray does get to the final he will have to play two very tough games beforehand and this talk of writing Ferrero, Hewitt and Roddick off is ridiculous. Going on yesterday's matches I fancy a Hewitt v Federer final." There is plenty of support for Hewitt about but do you agree? Let me know by sending an e-mail to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1551 : Serena and Azarenka are now out on Cente Court. The crowd have now dispersed for a quick break after Safina's victory but I'm sure they won't miss too much of the action.
1549 : Andy Murray is looking on the bright side ahead of quarter-final:"If you recover fine it's a good thing to play a long match and know that you've got four hours of tennis in you. "On grass you very rarely play matches that are that long. So if I recover fine then it's a positive." Let me know your predictions for Murray v Ferrero by sending an e-mail to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1544 : Dementieva quickly joins her in the last four as shemoves from 15-30 up on the Schiavone serve to take the game. A simple victory for the fourth seed and she will now takwe on the winner of the next match on Centre Court, Serena Williams v Victoria Azarenka.
1542 : Safina says straight after her match: "I am very happy to be in the semi-final. I was tough mentally which I think was the key today."
1541 : We are not far away from the end on Court One as well. Dementieva is 5-2 up in the second and 15-30 on the Schiavone serve.
1539 : Safina takes the match on Lisicki's serve as the German hits the ball out. The top seed will now face Venus in the next round and will need to raise her game if she is to have a chance of glory at SW19.
1533 : Safina successfully wins an appeal to game point and sees the game out to move to 5-1 in the decider. She is not far from victory now.
1532 : Shocking stuff from Safina as she throws in two double faults to takes us to deuce. Dementieva is now 4-1 up on Court One.
1530 : Safina makes Lisicki run all around the court as she takes advantage of the German youngster's injury. The Russian takes a 40-0 lead.
1529 : Dementieva bags another break to move 3-1 ahead in the second set and well on course for victory. Patrick the Yorkshire terrier will be pleased.
1528 : Lisicki is back on her feet so we will be able to continue on Centre Court.
1525 : Safina practices her serves as treatment continues for Lisicki as she has some ice put on the right calf.
1523 : A break in play now as Lisicki receives some treatment on one of her calves. She is 4-1 down in the third so things are not looking good for the German.
1520 : All looking good for Safina as she bags a double break in the decider. Her latest shrieks are now of joy as she moves to within two games of the last eight.
1518 : She may well be a set down on Court One but Schiavone deserves a bit of our support as she is based in London. Does this mean we can claim her clash with Dementieva as an All-British last eight clash?
1516 : Justin Anthony joins in the Andy Murray debate: He writes: "I think Rosie is completely right, neither Hewitt, Roddick or Ferrero stand a chance against Murray. I think he needed the five-set marathon against Wawrinka to really get him going, because when you reach this stage of the tournament you need all your fighting spirit and also it will be good for Andy that he has had a five-set match already should he reach the final. He looks focused and ready to the first Brit since Fred Perry to win the title." Plenty of positive vibes there but do you agree? Get in touch to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1512 : It is breaktastic on Centre Court as well with Safina bagging the third break in a row to move 2-1 up in the decider.
1511 : Dementieva continues the run of breaks on Court One as she takes the first set 6-2. Both players are struggling with their serves but it is the Russian who is having the better of proceedings.
1507 : Safina's frustration grows as a net cord from Lisicki earns her an immediate break back. We are level at 1-1 in the third.
1506 : Schiavone is on the board and repeats the success by getting a break back on the Dementieva serve. The Russian still leads 5-2 so she will still have a chance to take the set.
1503 : Safina struggles in her first service game of the decider. Lisicki produces a fantastic drop shot to prevent the Russian winning the game as we move to deuce again.
1500 : Another e-mail is in on Andy Murray's title chances. Rosie Barr writes: "Wawrinka was the biggest threat to Murray as he knew and understood Murray's game due to the time they had spent together training. Murray had to think outside of the box last night and come up with something really special in order to win against him. I don'treally see Ferrero, Hewitt or Roddick stopping him from reaching the Finals." Do you share Rosie's confidence? Let me know by sending an e-mail to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1458 : All going well for Dementieva as she moves 5-0 up. Not a day for close contests on Court One.
1456 : A scream of frustration from Safina as she lets a chance to go 15-40 up on Lisicki's move pass by. However, she doesn't dwell on the upset and wins the next two points to bag an early break in the decider.
1453 : All going well for Dementieva on Centre Court as she takes another break of serve to move 4-0 up. A bit of trouble on her serve as she falls 0-40 down but some big hits take us back to deuce.
1452 : Safina finally takes the set as she holds form on her serve to level the scores. We are set for a decider on Centre Court.
1451 : Safina now hands Lisicki another chance as she sends a forehand long. She spent some time showing some frustration before that point. Not wise.
1450 : Safina wins herself a set point but wastes the chance as she produces what looks to be a double fault. However, she challenges the second call and the second serve will be replayed.
1449 : Lisicki has a chance to break back but things don't go to plan as she slips on the baseline and can only edge the ball out. We are on deuce as Safina serves for the set.
1448 : Demetieva battles back from 0-40 to hold her serve. Wasted chances for Schiavone.
1446 : David Elliot agrees with our Andy Schooler on who could cause Murray some trouble. He writes: "Murray's toughest opponent in his half of the draw has to be Hewitt, if he can overcome Roddick. Murray should get past Ferrero fairly comfortably but it's a slam quarter-final so you never know. Murray's return of serve is one of his biggest weapons and if he gets enough back against Roddick he should dispatch him in routine fashion. However, should Hewitt progress Murray will be in a tough, strength sapping encounter which will play into the Aussie battler's hands!" Join the fun by sending an e-mail to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1444 : Good start from Dementieva on Court One as she breaks Schiavone in her opening service game. Neat drop shot to secure the break.
1442 : Safina holds serve to take a 5-3 lead. Lisicki will now serve to stay in the set.
1440 : Cliff Richard is back in Royal Box. I offer him my congratulations but he has an appalling suit on. It is a light blue hologramesque number. Not good.
1438 : Dementieva starts, in traditional style, with a double fault. Her serve can be a bit flaky. No major drama as she holds to 30.
1436 : Safina is handed a break on Centre Court with a double fault from Lisicki. I'm sure the Russian's fans will see that as some kind of justice.
1433 : Dementieva and Schiavone are currently warming up on Court One. Today's 'Pet Watch' continues with news from the Russian. The fourth seed has a Yorkshire terrier called Patrick. I think that means we can claim her as a Brit. No word on if Patrick is named after actor Stewart or Williams F1 Engineering Director Head.
1431 : Brian Sammon has e-mailed in with his thoughts on Andy Murray's title chances. He writes: "Great chance to get to the final, but remember US Open final last year, Fed toyed with him, straight sets win. Murray has beaten fed in Super 9 events, but Slams are a step up.. A-Rod / Fed final." Who do you think poses the biggest danger to the Brit in his half of the draw? Let me know by sending an e-mail to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1430 : Safina is starting to show frustration on Centre Court as she struggles at 3-2 down on serve. She does, however, level the scores as Lisicki sends a return long.
1429 : First update on today's celeb watch goes to gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh. I have no word on howgood he is at tennis but I reckon Tommy Walsh could beat him in four sets.
1428 : Interesting fact for Venus fans is that the defending champ has now won 32 consecutive sets in singles action at SW19. That, this may shock you, is very good.
1425 : Even stevens on Centre at the moment as we go with serve. 3-2 to Lisicki. No word on how Happy the dog feels about this news.
1418 : Venus takes the match with a solid forehand down the line. An impressive display from the American who claimed victory in just over an hour. Dementieva v Schiavone is net up on Court One.
1417 : All on serve on Centre Court as Lisicki leads 2-1.
1415 : Venus takes the break at the first opportunity as a forehand down the line leaves Radwanska with no chance. The third seed leads 5-2 and will now serve for the match. An impressive run of five games in a row for the American.
1414 : Venus in complete control on Court One as a backhand winner from the baseline secures two more break points.
1411 : Always good to hear from Vik Dowlul on Andy Murray's title chances. He writes: "No reason to suggest Murray can't triumph at SW19. Arguably he is better suited against the type of player the Fed Express is and has risen his game on a number of occasions as is proved by their head to heads. If he gets to the final, expect to see a different Murray." Let me know if you also think we could have a British winner by sending an e-mail to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1410 : Lisicki shows her delight to her fans in the crowd but we could be starting to see the first signs of Safina's famous temper.
1409 : The pressure now gets to Safina as she produces a double fault. Lisicki takes the set as the top seed throws her racquet to the ground.
1408 : The second is, somehow, wasted by Lisicki as she sends a simple forehand out on the right hand side of the court. That is a shocking miss. Safina will now serve.
1407 : First set point is saved with a crunching forehand from Safina.
1406 : Safina sends a forehand into the net to bring up three set points for Lisicki. The Russian finally starts to let her frustration show.
1405 : Radwanska is broken again on Court One so we could be getting close to the end of our first quarter-final clash. The winners of the two matches currently in progress will face each other in the last four.
1403 : Lisicki quickly throws in a double fault to take us to 4-2. Not great play.
1402 : Lisicki bags a double mini-break with a scorching forehand return. The German leads 4-1. Safina, so far, is keeping her cool.
1401 : All on serve so far as Lisicki leads 2-1. Safina narrowly missed a boominf forehand down the left hand side of the court to secure a mini-break.
1358 : Lisicki holds her nerve this time to force the tie-break.
1356 : Venus pulls level at 2-2 on Court One and Safina holds her serve to force Lasicki to battle to force a tie-break.
1355 : I'm sure plenty of you will be interested to read Andy Murray's thoughts on his title chances after last night's epic. He says: "I believe I can win Wimbledon. That's not changed since the first match. But I'm going to have to play great tennis to do it." Do you agree that he can bag the title? Let me know by sending an e-mail to nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1353 : Safina storms to a 0-40 lead but Lisicki saves the first break-back point. No luck on the second as the German sends the ball into the net to take us to 5-5. The momentum is now with the top seed.
1351 : Venus quickly gets back on track as she breaks back immediately. The Williams family show their delight with a dance in the crowd.
1350 : Safina holds her serve to force Lisicki to serve out for the set. Big pressure game coming up for the German.
1349 : Radwanska does have pedigree here atSW19 as she won the girls' final in 2005. Could provide some hope that Brit Laura Robson will be a major player in the future.
1348 : No second chances needed for Radwanska as she breaks to love. Venus has not impressed at the start of the second set.
1347 : Trouble for Venus on her serve as Radwanska takes a 0-40 advantage. Errors are creeping in from the American.
1346 : Blast from the past Barbara Rittner is watching Lisicki on Centre Court. She is now Germany Fed Cup coach so she will be certainly watching the unseeded player with great focus.
1344 : Radwanska has started the second set in more positive fashion as she produces a crunching forehand to take the opening game.
1341 : Lisicki is still impressing on Centre Court as she takes a 4-3 lead. Safina needs to produce something special to rescue the opener. Could we be seeing a shock from the unseeded German?
1338 : Two aces secure the set from Venus secure the set. The American only lost two points on her during the 27-minute opener. Hopefully we will see more of a contest in the second.
1335 : First sign if a few errors in Venus' game as Radwanska finally gets on the board. She still trails 5-1 in the opener so fans of the Pole shouldn't get too excited.
1334 : Lisicki holds her serve to lead 3-1 with a break.
1333 : Venus fails to take her first set point as an error hands Radwanska another chance.
1332 : Net cord falls the wrong way for Lisicki after a spell on deuce on her serve. I think we are set for a longer match on Centre Court.
1330 : Interesting news on the pet front for our lady players. Radwanska owns two rats called Flippy and Floppy. I'm not sure they will be feeling as buoyant as Lisicki's Happy the dog.
1329 : Another easy game for Venus as she moves 5-0 ahead.
1328 : Booming 120 MPH serve from Venus. She leads the serve charts with a 124 scorcher followed by a 122 effort from Lisicki.
1325 : Venus sends another crunching forehand away from Radwanska to break again. The Pole is shrugging her shoulders as if to say she has no idea what to do.
1323 : The tension does show as Safina produces a double fault to hand Lisicki the break. Interesting fact about the German is that she has a dog called Happy. Presumably the dog is living up to its name after that game.
1322 : Lisicki will have to have a break point replayed after an interesting line call. Tension builds for Safina.
1321 : Venus still hasn't dropped a point on serve as she fires home a crashing forehand to move 3-0 up. Not looking good for Radwanska.
1319 : Venus continues her fine start as she wins her fourth break point to take a 2-0 lead. Both Williams sisters have impressed at SW19 this year as shown by their women's doubles third round match last night which they won with a double bagel, 6-0 6-0, victory.
1317 : I've just read Andy Murray's comments on yesterday's Roofgate. See our 1235 update for a full round-up on the morning after the night before but it would be great to read your views by sending an e-mailto nick.hext@bskyb.com.
1314 : Venus starts in fine style on Court One as she holds her opening service game with ease.
1312 : We are under way on both show courts. Lisicki won her only meeting against Safina so far with a 7-6 4-6 6-2 success at the Australian Open. Some hope for the German who will start as second favourite in this match,
1310 : A change in the commentary chair so you can now send your e-mails to nick.hext@bskyb.com. No sign of the roof closing which pleases me and Andy Murray.
1300 : The players step out onto the showcourts and we will be under way shortly. Safina-Lisicki on Centre and Venus-Radwanska on One.
1250 : One British angle we haven't mentioned yet today is junior star Laura Robson. She woneasily yesterday and will play her second-round match later this afternoon against Australian Sally Peers. That match is the last of four on Court Two. We'll keep you updated when they do get under way.
1245 : The other concern for Murray fans after last night's four-hour clash for their man is how much damage has that done to his title hopes? Last year he was taken the distance by Richard Gasquet on the second Monday and then battered by Rafael Nadal two days later. Juan Carlos Ferrero - Murray's quarter-final opponent this year - is not in Nadal's class, but has been playing well. Perhaps a better comaprison would be to contrast Murray and title rival Roger Federer's wins yesterday. Federer was done in half the time. He's wasted little energy so far. Any thoughts? Email me: andy.schooler@bskyb.com
1235 : I've just seen Murray's post-match interview for the first time from last night and he was pretty critical of the roof and the organisers. He says he only found out he would be playing under the roof just before he was about to step onto the court, while he says it was so humid with it overhead that he came off court feeling like he just "taken a bath". Well, it's hardly a surprise - players being critical of the different conditions. It happened this year when the roof was closed at the Australian Open. What was perhaps surprising is that officials started the match with the roof across, even though it wasn't raining at the time. In fact it never rained during the match at all, so the majority of it could have been played outdoors. The All England Club's chief executive Ian Ritchie says the decision was taken to start with the roof across as there was a 70 per cent chance of rain at the time. However, I'm sure I'm not the only one with concerns of what starting matches under a roof based on a weather forecast will do to the tournament's credibility in the long run. It seems the roof is very much an aid to TV viewers and, in particular, the broadcasters. How much of a say are they getting in what goes on? I'm keen to hear your thoughts on the roof and Murray's win last night, so email me at andy.schooler@bskyb.com and I will publish the best comments.
1225 : So what can we expect from those matches? Well, if I had to pick one to watch it would be Serena v Azarenka. Azarenka beat Williams in the final of a big tournament in Miami earlier this season, although Serena was struggling with injury in that one. Of more relevance perhaps is the match they played at this year's Australian Open. Azarenka won the first set but was forced to quit in the second due to the excessive heat. It was as high as 40 degrees in Melbourne, so it won't be that high today. There's a chance of an upset, but Williams has looked impressive so far. In fact I'd expect the top four seeds - Safina, the Williams sisters and Dementieva - to progress today.
1220 : Today's action sees ladies' quarter-finals take centre stage. On Centre, first up is top seed Dinara Safina against surprise package Sabine Lisicki, who has alredy beaten Svetlana Kuznetsova and Caroline Wozniacki. They are followed by Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka. On Court One, it's defending champ Venus Williams against Agnieszka Radwanska, followed by Francesca Schiavone and Elena Dementieva. The showcourts start at 1300 BST. Outside the action is already under way with juniors and doubles taking place.
1210 : Welcome to our coverage of day eight - and it's another sunny one in SW19! Temperatures could hit 30 degrees Celsius again and there appears only a slim chance of that roof being needed. On the roof, I see Andy Murray has been a little critical for its use last night, but what an occasion it turned out to be. I'd be keen to know your thoughts on Murray's win last night -and how much going five sets will have actually damaged his title chances - and also your views on the roof and how it should be used. Email me: andy.schooler@bskyb.com. We'll update you on what's coming up today - it's ladies' quarter-finals day - in a moment.
