2133 : Haas takes the game! That's it for the night. It could not be more even - 7-5 7-5 1-6 6-7 (3-7) 6-6. By far the match of the tournament so far. Both players receive a well deserved standing ovation and that's it for this evening.
2130 : Extraordinary! Haas saves another match-point with some brave and bold tennis in the circumstances. How they can even see the ball is beyond me!
2130 : Possiby the shot of the match and it's match-point again for Cilic. What a return!
2129 : Typical from Haas! He holds firm - deuce now. Might not have much of an impact but Hawkeye can no longer work because it is too dark!
2128 : Brilliant shot down the line from Cilic and it's match-point for the Croatian!
2124 : Cilic holds his serve to make it 6-5 and Haas has just enough time to serve to stay in the match.
2122 : Seppi blows his chance on serve and play is suspended against Andreev at 1-6 6-7 (5-7) 1-6 6-7 (3-7) 5-5.
2117 : We're getting two more games on number one court between Haas and Cilic.
2116 : Seppi is serving to take his match against Andreev into a fifth set. What an end to this day! Superb drama.
2116 : Well, Haas takes the game to love in a matter of seconds and we may have more action here.
2115 : Haas takes the game! Wow, the German just never gives in, what a fightback. He looked dead and buried but now has to serve to stay in the match. This will be the last game of the night.
2114 : Drama in the other men's match still going, It's now 4-4 between Seppi and Andreev in the fourth set.
2112 : Incredible - Haas has two break points. The German just never gives up!
2109 : He's done it! And what a fantastic point too! Magnificent tennis by both players but it's Cilic who will serve for the match.
2106 : Break point for Cilic to take a 5-3 lead and serve for the match...
2058 : Haas is back in the game! The German breaks back and it's now 3-2 to Cilic. He's used all his experience there after looking completely out of the match. What an atmosphere, the crowd are doing a Mexican wave, they are loving this!
2054 : Seppi breaks Andreev to open up a 2-1 lead in the fourth set. They may have to come back tomorrow to finish that one off should it go to a fifth.
2052 : What a turnaround by Cilic - he is playing some fantastic tennis and opens up a 3-0 lead, surely no stopping him now.
2047 : It's all going horribly wrong for Haas as Cilic breaks his serve to take a 2-0 lead in the fifth and deciding set.
2044 : More misery for Keothavong - she and partner Hutchins have crashed out of the mixed doubles, going down 6-4 6-2 to Soares and Kleybanova. Let's hope there's no tears this time.
2042 : Seppi is still alive too, taking the third set 6-4 against Andreev - what odds that one going to a fifth set too?
2033 : It's a decider as Cilic takes the breaker! Superb set of tennis, surely now the momentum is with the Croatian. It's like Roland Garros all over again for Haas.
2029 : Another good hold from Cilic takes the fourth set to a tie-break. Superb stuff.
2026 : Haas makes it 6-5 in the fourth against Cilic and once again the Croatian must hold his serve to stay in the match.
2025 : The comeback is most certainly under way on court two - Seppi is 5-1 up on Andreev. That one could go all the way.
2025 : Well played Auckland and Baltacha - they complete a pretty routine 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 victory over Parrott and Bondarenko. Keothavong and Hutchins are a break down in their second set though.
2020 : Cilic saves the match points and it's 5-5 in the fourth. Superb hold by the Croatian, who saved the fastest serve of the match until the vital moment.
2019 : Cilic saves two match-points, can he pull the fourth set back to 5-5 against the odds?
2018 : Match-point for Haas...
2015 : Haas is on the verge against Cilic - the oldest player in the tournament is a game away from victory.
2010 : Baltacha and Auckland are cruising to victory but Anne Keothavong and Ross Hutchins have lost the first set against Soares and Kleybanova 6-4.
2007 : Haas and Cilic continues to go with serve in the fourth set but Seppi is already a break up against Andreev in the fourth - is the comeback on?
2004 : Auckland and Baltacha are well on their way to victory now - a set and a break up against Parrott and Bondarenko on court six.
1958 : It's the Italian Seppi who takes the tie-break and moves into a two-set lead against Andreev. We thought this one would be tight, it's certainly not over yet.
1950 : Seppi and Andreev head into a second set tie-break.
1948 : Cilic takes Haas into a fourth set with a dominant 6-1 in the third. Meanwhile, Baltacha and Auckland take their first set tie-break 7-5. So brave.
1945 : Entertaining scenes on court 14 where Andy Murray's opponent tomorrow, Victor Troicki, brands the umpire "crazy" and says "I'll show you how bad you are" after what looked like a really poor decision in his doubles match.
1940 : Brave Britwatch: James Auckland and Elena Baltacha are into a first-set tie-break against Travis Parrott and Kateryna Bondarenko on Court Six.
1937 : A wild return from Fish flies wide, and Djokovic has followed Federer and Murray in showing he's a very serious contender for this title. Fine performance from the number-four seed.
1936 : Cilic is going to halve his deficit here. He's raced into a 5-0 lead in the third set against Haas, while on Centre Djokovic has two match points.
1934 : Fish forces Djokovic to serve it out.
1931 : Fish battles back from 40-0 to 40-30 on Djokovic's serve, but the number-four seed responds to the pressure superbly. A rapid ace out wide leaves Djokovic one game from round four.
1927 : No great escape for Robredo this time. He sends a forehand long and Sela is through to the last 16 for the first time. He awaits Djokovic - provided the Serb can pick up two more games.
1926 : Step one achieved for Cilic. A weak lob from Haas leaves Cilic with an easy putaway to move 2-0 up in the third set. Over on Centre, Djokovic is well on his way now as the first break of the third set gives him a 4-3 lead.
1922 : Another man bidding to come back from two sets down, Robredo, has served for the fourth set and come up short. He's now serving to stay in the match at 5-6.
1921 : Fish is digging deep against Djokovic on Centre. It's on serve at 3-3 in the third.
1918 : Cilic sends a forehand long and now needs to come back from two sets down against Haas.
1917 : A big second serve brings up set point number four for Haas. Gutsy.
1916 : Haas has three set points at 40-0 but Cilic bang! and the set points are gone. It's back to deuce, and I go and think about what I've done.
1915 : Fleming and Borwell are into a deciding set now against Vemic and Pennetta.
1910 : Haas strikes again at the business end of a set. He breaks at 5-5 and now serves for a two-set lead against Cilic, who had started the match so brightly.
1905 : Andreev takes the first set 6-1 on Court Two against Seppi.
1903 : Haas and Cilic are still on serve in the second set. Promises to be a close match that one.
1900 : Brave Britwatch: Colin Fleming and Sarah Borwell have taken the first set against Dusan Vemic and Flavia Pennetta out on Court 11.
1857 : A Djokovic dropshot-lob combination gives him the second set 6-4. The Serb made that second set tougher than it should have been, but he's got home in the end and looks good for round four.
1855 : Bartoli's game has completely disintegrated on Court 18. After losing the first set on a breaker, she's gone down 6-0 in the second as Schiavone secures her last-16 spot.
1853 : Djokovic is making heavy weather of this set after leading 4-0, but he is now one game away from a two-set lead at 5-3.
1850 : Robredo starts to climb his mountain (again), taking the third set against Sela 6-2. Still trails 2-1 in sets though. Andreev has raced into a 4-0 lead on Court Two, while Schiavone is all over Bartoli on Court 18. She also leads 4-0, and has a one-set advantage too.
1842 : Fish holds to reduce his arrears again. That'll keep the banker interested.
1839 : Fish gets one of the breaks back on Centre Court and now trails 2-4. His wife is delighted. Apparently she's a model on the American Deal or No Deal. They get models, we get Noel and his tidy beard. Hardly seems fair.
1835 : Fish and his shaved legs finally get on the board in the second set, but at 1-4 he surely has too much to do.
1834 : Good thinking from the organisers. They've switched Seppi-Andreev from Court 18 to the vacant Court Two.
1832 : Djokovic shows his athleticism to get to an attempted Fish pass and produce a glorious drop volley winner. It's 4-0 now in the second set, and the match is going away from Fish at speed. Fish swimming against the tide here.
1829 : Schiavone takes the tie-break to five against Bartoli for a one-set lead.
1828 : Djokovic showing his class on Centre now. Power and finesse get him a double break as a whipped forehand and a deft drop shot help him into a 3-0 lead over Fish in the second set.
1825 : A love service game gives Haas the first set. That looked hugely unlikely for most of the last 40 minutes or so.
1823 : Djokovic breaks in the first game of the second set to take control of his clash with Fish.
1822 : Bartoli has broken back against Schiavone, and they're into a first-set tie-break in that one.
1821 : After being on the backfoot for most of this first set, Haas breaks again as Cilic dumps the ball halfway up the net. Haas will now serve for the set at 6-5.
1817 : Djokovic has a first-serve percentage in the high 80s as he takes out the first set 6-4 with a solid hold to 15. Impressive from the Djoker.
1815 : There's a shock developing on Court Three. Sela is now two sets to love up on Robredo after taking the second set 7-5. The winner of that play Fish or Djokovic.
1814 : A fairly straightforward evening for the Williams sisters in the doubles. They've seen off Lisicki and Wozniak one and four to reach round three.
1813 : From bad to worse for Barloli. She blew set points at 5-4, and has now been broken again to leave Schiavone serving for the set at 6-5.
1811 : Haas has battled and battled to stay just a solitary break down in the first set, and he gets his reward. Cilic has been under no threat on his serve throughout the set, but he suddenly gets tense. A horrible second serve into the base of the net at deuce gives Haas break point, and a wild forehand gives Haas the game. Cilic had points for a 4-0 lead, but is now just 5-4 up and back on serve. Fish serving to stay in the set on Centre.
1809 : Djokovic makes the first move of the match on Centre Court, breaking Fish as the American sends a forehand long. A 4-3 lead for the number-four seed, who also has the advantage of new balls. So to speak.
1803 : Bad news for those of us with homes to go to. Schiavone breaks back against Bartoli on Court 18. It's now 5-4 out there in the first set, with Andreas Seppi and Igor Andreev due on court after that match finishes. Crikey.
1803 : Still on serve between Fish and Djokovic, while another routine hold gives Cilic a 5-2 lead.
1800 : Haas is just about hanging in there on Court One. He's taken to deuce on serve again by Cilic but holds. Cilic still leading 4-2 and going well in that one.
1757 : In the last women's singles clash off theday, former finalist Marion Bartoli is serving for a one-set lead against Francesca Schiavone.
1751 : And it's nice to see Tim has joined Mrs Henman in the Royal Box. The celeb-spotting has continued apace today. After such luminaries as Bruce Forsyth, Jimmy Tarbuck and Elaine Paige over previous days, today we've been lucky enough to see Terry Wogan and Bobby Charlton enjoying the action.
1750 : Haas finally gets on the board after a long game on Court One, while the first two games go with serve on Centre as Djokovic takes on Fish.
1740 : I took a chance there, with matches on both show courts finishing at about the same time, to take on some food. I return to find Cilic racing into a 3-0 lead against Haas on Court One, while the Williams sisters have taken the first set of their doubles clash against Sabine Lisicki and Aleksandra Wozniak 6-1.
1723 : Sela has taken the first set against Robredo 10-8 on the tie-break, while Cibulkova is the latest seed to fall in the women's draw as the 14th seed goes down in three sets to Vesnina.
1720 : Azarenka safely through to the last 16 with a straight-sets victory over Cirstea - who showed enough in the first set to suggest she's got a decent future in the game. But Azarenka's a real rising star despite the unpleasant noises.
1718 : Cirstea forces Azarenka to serve it out, holding to 15.
1716 : Azarenka just a game away from the second week now. She leads Cirstea 5-2 in the second set. Novak Djokovic is next up on the - still infuriatingly uncovered - Centre Court. We were promised rain. Where is it? Stupid weather boffins.
1714 : Next up on Court One it's the oldest man in the draw against the youngest as Tommy Haas takes on Marin Cilic.
1712 : Karlovic insists after his victory that he can serve even better. I'm not sure that's actually possible. Asked if he can go on past the last 16 for the first time, he says - quite rightly - "If I serve like this, anything is possible."
1710 : Karlovic is a potential quarter-final opponent for Federer. That'll be worth watching if it transpires.
1710 : Karlovic finishes the match, fittingly, with his 46th ace. He takes on Verdasco in the next round. Tsonga, the ninth seed, is out after running into Karlovic at his most unreturnable. Forty-six aces in four sets of tennis. Outrageous.
1709 : Tsonga saves the first. But the problem for him is that the second is on Karlovic's serve. And Tsonga has won only one point against serve in this fourth set.
1708 : Two more big serves and a huge forehand return bring up two match points for Karlovic.
1707 : Two big serves give Tsonga a 4-3 lead in the tie-break. Are we heading for a fifth set? It could go on forever...
1706 : Azarenka leads 3-1 in the second set on Centre Court, growing in confidence since that tie-break.
1705 : Karlovic puts a routine volley long and Tsonga has the mini-break back. The Frenchman trails 2-3 but with two service points to come.
1704 : Karlovic takes a 2-1 lead in the breaker - with a point against the serve. He's won every point on his serve in the set: five more and the match is his.
1702 : Alex Bogdanovic and James Ward have gone down in four sets to Bruno Soares and Kevin Ullyett. Tsonga and Karlovic are into a tie-break. Tsonga has to find some way to take a point off the big man's serve.
1700 : Tsonga has not won a point on Karlovic's serve in this set.
1658 : Tsonga will have to serve to stay in the match for a second time as ace number 44 takes Karlovic into a 6-5 lead. This was when things went wrong for the Frenchman in the last set. Meanwhile, Azarenka secures the first break of the match on Centre to open up a one-set and 2-0 lead.
1656 : Verdasco is through in four sets against compatriot Montanes, taking the fourth set 7-2 on a tie-break. He'll face the winner of the servathon that's on Court One currently. Whoever gets through, that promises to be a compelling fourth-round clash.
1654 : Rae and South took the first set against Groeneweld and King, but alas they've dropped the next two so their Wimbledon campaign ends on the first Friday.
1653 : Robredo breaks back against Sela. Now 4-4 in that one. Tsonga's about to serve to stay in the match against Karlovic.
1650 : Karlovic wins a point on the Tsonga serve, but no more than that. A third tie-break looks on the cards.
1649 : Azarenka takes down the set 7-2 tie-break. She really started to hit the ball with far greater authority when it mattered. Meanwhile, the fourth set between Verdasco and Montanes has gone to a tie-break.
1648 : Azarenka has stepped up her performance in the breaker and now has four set points.
1647 : Karlovic leads Tsonga 4-3 in the fourth set, which has featured 28 points so far. You do the maths.
1645 : Unseeded Sela - bidding to become just the second Israeli man to reach the last 16 here - has an early break against Robredo on Court Three.
1643 : Into a tie-break on Centre, and heading that way once more on Court One where Karlovic leads Tsonga 3-2. The Centre Court crowd are right behind Cirstea by the way.
1638 : Cirstea turning in an impressive performance here. She leads 6-5, and the Centre Court crowd are warming to her. The fact that, unlike Azarenka, she doesn't deafen everyone every time she hits the ball is also doing her no harm with the SW19 aficionados.
1628 : Karlovic breaks after an actual rally develops! The Croatian manages to get himself into the net, and he gets a sensational volley away crosscourt as Tsonga fails to nail the down-the-line pass. Karlovic leads by two sets to one and Tsonga now needs to find some way to break Karlovic's serve to win this match. Can't get through on tie-breaks now.
1627 : After dropping the first set, Verdasco has taken the next two to lead Montanes 2-1. Meanwhile, there's a shock developing on Court One: there might be a break of serve. Karlovic has two break points on the Tsonga serve.
1621 : Karlovic misses an easy pass down the line that would have given him two set points on the Tsonga serve. The Frenchman produces clean winners to take the game and level the scores again at 5-5. Cirstea leads 4-3 on centre.
1617 : Azarenka saves a couple of break points before securing a 3-3 scoreline as Cirstea sends a forehand return wide. But it's the Romanian who's made the more impressive start on Centre Court.
1614 : Karlovic right on world-record pace with the aces. He's sent down 33 so far, and if the match goes to a fifth set he's almost certain to break his own record. Tsonga's sent down a pitiful 19 aces.
1612 : The lack of updates from Court One should give you a clue, but just in case you've not worked it out the third set is going on serve. We're also on serve on Centre where Sorana Cirstea leads Victoria Azarenka 3-2.
1611 : Petrova has seen off Dulko in three tight sets on Court Three. Tommy Robredo's next up on that court, taking on Israel's Dudi Sela.
1551 : And Tsonga responds with an ace of his own down the T. It's one set all in a match that looks destined for a fifth set.
1550 : Two set points for Tsonga. The first disappears in the blink of an eye thanks to - you guessed it - an ace from Karlovic. But the second will be on the Tsonga serve.
1548 : Petrova has levelled matters against Dulko and has a break in the decider. South and Rae have taken the first set in their doubles clash against Groenefeld and King.
1547 : Tsonga has a mini-break in the breaker, the players changing ends with the Frenchman 4-2 up. This could take awhile.
1545 : The inevitable second-set tie-break is under way on Court One.
1544 : Federer's looking forward to exploring the city on his weekend off. He's earned a couple of days off after a surprisingly tough task today.
1541 : Federer seals the deal in style, running round a short return from Kohlschreiber and slamming a forehand crosscourt. Good test for the five-time champion today, and he's come through it in four sets.
1540 : Match point for Federer on Centre Court after a tough test.
1537 : The end is nigh on Centre now. A sensational running forehand gives Federer a double break and a 5-1 lead. He's serving for the match now. Meanwhile, it's 5-5 on Court One and Karlovic has already fired 22 aces. If that goes five sets - and there's every chance - the record (55) he set against Lleyton Hewitt in the French is under threat.
1535 : Delgado and Marray are into the third round of the men's doubles. They've downed 13th seeds Cermak and Mertinek 6-2 in the fifth set.
1533 : Verdasco has raced through the second set 6-1 to level his all-Spanish clash with Montanes on Court Two.
1532 : Tsonga is unhappy about Karlovic being allowed to challenge after hitting a return, and is again taken to deuce. But two points later he's back in the chair with a 5-4 lead in the second set.
1530 : Federer again just two games from victory as he opens up a 4-1 lead in the fourth set.
1527 : Some excitement on Court One as Tsonga gets to 0-30 on the Karlovic serve. But two huge aces down the middle bring it back to 30-30 and leave Tsonga throwing his arms in the air in impotent frustration. It's 4-4, and another tie-break beckons. Tsonga currently has the demeanour of a man who finds himself trapped in a lift with Alan Carr on one side and Michael Mcintyre on the other.
1520 : After working so hard to get back into the match, Kohlschreiber gives up his first service game of the fourth set with a second serve dumped into the bottom of the net.
1518 : We've not seen the last Brave Brits of the day. Jonathan Marray and Jamie Delgado are into a fifth set against Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertinak after an epic tie-break victory in the fourth set, while Jocelyn Rae and Melanie South are a break up in the early stages against Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Vania King.
1517 : Tsonga sulks around the back of the court as another collection of huge serves whistle past him. The average rally length on Karlovic's serve is under two strokes.
1516 : Gisela Dulko, who beat Maria Sharapova in the last round, is well-placed to send another Russian out of this tournament. She's a set up on 10th seed Nadia Petrova.
1515 : First deuce of the day between Karlovic and Tsonga. It comes on the Frenchman's serve, but he wins the next two points to lead 2-1 in the second set.
1514 : The key start from that third set on Centre was the winners-errors. Kohlschreiber: 21 winners, two errors; Federer: 15 winners, 10 errors.
1512 : But that forehand winner is followed by an error off the same wing to give Kohlschreiber two set points. Federer saves the first on his own serve, but a crosscourt backhand winner from Kohlschreiber gives him the set. He's deserved it.
1511 : Federer gets back the mini-break with a booming forehand but still trails 4-5.
1508 : Kohlschreiber takes a 4-1 lead in the breaker as Federer uses up his final challenge. Montanes has taken the first set against Verdasco 6-4 courtesy of that early break of serve.
1506 : They're into a tie-break on Centre.
1506 : Karlovic wins the tie-break 7-5. Nothing approaching a break of serve in the 12 games that preceded it, and just one mini-break in the breaker itself. That's some impressive serving. Both players well above 70 per cent first serves in andaround 80 per cent first serve points won.
1505 : Federer produces an outrageous winner down the line to avoid going 0-30 down in the 12th game of the third set.
1504 : Tsonga saves two set points on his own serve. Now Karlovic has one on his own.
503 : Karlovic has three set point on Court One.
1458 : It's a tie-break on Court One. Karlovic kicks it off with an ace. Kohlschreiber holds his nerve through a bunch of deuces to hold for a 6-5 lead.
1455 : Federer-Kohlschreiber is now 5-5 in the third, while Karlovic-Tsonga continues on its inevitable path to a tie-break.
1451 : Kohlschreiber, with the help of a net cord, does get his break. No-one on Centre Court (apart from Fed) is going to begrudge the German his slice of good fortune. It's 4-4 in the third.
1450 : Federer puts a forehand into the net to give Kohlschreiber two break points. Still on serve on Court One where Karlovic leads 5-4.
1448 : Kohlschreiber's not going away on Centre. A beautiful running forehand down the line takes him to 0-30 on the Federer serve and a chance to level up the third set.
1446 : Montanes has made a fast start on Court Dos, breaking in the very first game and now leading 2-0
1444 : Federer just two games away from round four - and a nice weekend off. He leads 4-2.
1442 : Out on Court Two, Fernando Verdasco - the only lefty in the bottom half of the draw - is taking on Albert Montanes who is bidding to reach the last 16 of a major for the first time in an all-Spanish clash. We shall rename it Court Dos.
1440 : Both Karlovic and Tsonga are serving impressively in the early stages of their match on Court One. It's 3-3 there, and there's even a bit of sunshine.
1434 : Federer gets through a tough service game to move 3-1 up in the third. Kohlschreiber had a couple of break points but couldn't get through. The German's done little wrong this afternoon, apart from be on the opposite side of the net to the game's greatest ever player.
1427 : The big-serving Karlovic easily holds the opening game of the match against Tsonga on Court One.
1422 : One of the incredible things with Federer is his ability to make the breakthrough early in a set. He always seems to get his nose in front early in a set and, sure enough, he breaks Kohlschreiber in the opening game of set three with a crosscourt backhand pass.
1417 : Federer produces an outrageous lob and a couple of aces to serve out the second set 6-2. Kohlschreiber's played pretty well to be honest, but he just can't get near Federer at the moment.
1410 : Up next on Court One it's a mouthwatering clash between Ivo Karlovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Could be a doozie.
1409 : A beautiful backhand down the line secures a 6-1 6-2 victory for Dementieva on Court One. Barely an hour's exertion for the number-four seed, while on Centre Federer holds to love again to move 5-1 clear in the second set.
1407 : A bizarre dead bounce off the baseline does Kohlschreiber like a kipper and allows Federer to secure a double break in the second set.
1405 : It's Soderling who awaits Federer in round four if the Swiss completes his apparently routine victory over Kohlschrieber. The number-13 seed has seen off Almagro in straight sets despite that injury scare after the second.
1404 : Another break of serve on Court One. Dementieva leads 5-2, but has the disadvantage of serving in the next game.
1403 : Federer is taken to deuce on serve but holds on for a 3-1 lead.
1402 : Hantuchova has completed a 6-4 6-3 victory over Sugiyama and takes on Serena Williams in round four.
1400 : It's stil break time on Court One. Dementieva leads 4-2 in a second set that has featured just one hold of serve thus far.
1354 : Dementieva secures the first service hold of thesecond set to move 3-1 up against Kulikova, while Federer is already a break up in the second set against Kohlschreiber.
1346 : A love service game for Federer sees him through the first set 6-3. Kohlschreiber's had his moments - and some glorious winners - but Federer's just a bit too good.
1344 : Kohlschreiber holds to force Federer to serve it out, while Kulikova makes a mockery of my 1341 entry by breaking back instantly against Dementieva.
1342 : It looks like it'll be Hantuchova up next for Serena Williams: the Slovakian leads Sugiyama by a set and 5-2 out on Court 18.
1341 : Dementieva breaks Kulikova in the opening game of the second set as she continues her seemingly serene progress to round four.
1340 : A mishit return that lands on the line gives Kohlschreiber the opening point on the Federer serve, and he then moves to 0-30. Suddenly things looks less straightforward for Federer, but four straight points - ending with an ace - secure his 5-2 lead.
1337 : Dementieva completes the formalities on serve to take out the opening set 6-1.
1336 : Kohlschreiber saves two more break points in a flurry of Hawk-eye challenges and overrules from the chair before serving out the game with an ace down the T. It's 4-2 now to Federer, but the German is getting back into it.
1333 : Kulikova is on the board at 1-5 in the all-Russian clash on Court One, while Soderling is another player with injury troubles after calling for the trainer. He leads Almagro 2-0 in sets, remember.
1330 : The second match on Court Two was due to be Vera Zvonareva against Virginie Razzano, but the Russian number-seven seed has been forced to pull out with an ankle injury. Razzano joins Serena in the last 16.
1329 : Kohlschreiber - to the surprise of all on Centre Court - breaks Federer's serve with a backhand pass. He still trails 4-1, though. Dementieva misses her first set point against Kulikova on Court One.
1327 : It's been a battle for Soderling against Almagro, but the Swede has taken the second set 6-4 to open a two-set lead. Looks like a rerun of the French Open final is on the cards in round four here.
1326 : Kohlschreiber saves two more break points against Federer but can do nothing about the third. Federer hitting winners from all over the court here. It's a bit of an exhibition at the moment. Fed leads 4-0.
1324 : Williams secures a routine victory over Vinci, serving out the second set 6-4. She looked in good touch despite being shunted out to the third court.
1323 : Elena Dementieva's having things all her own way on Court One. She leads Regina Kulikova 4-0.
1322 : Serena has match point on Court Two.
1320 : Kuznetsova and Mauresmo complete the job 6-3 6-4 against Robson and Stoop. Decent effort from the British pair against class opponents.
1319 : While Tim Henman's busy working his socks off in the commentary box, Mrs Henman is living it up in the Royal Box. Hardly seems fair: she never once made the semi-finals here.
1318 : It's all gone a bit wrong for Robson and Stoop since taking that 3-0 lead in the second set. Kuznetsova is now serving for the match at 5-4.
1317 : Federer - shock, horror - loses a point on serve, but recovers from that shock to see out the game with an ace out wide.
1315 : Kohlschreiber gets back to deuce, but a backhand halfway up the net gives Federer the early break.
1313 : Robson holds serve to secure a 4-3 lead in the second set. Kohlschreiber finally gets a point on the board against Federer, but it's still 0-1 15-40.
1311 : Federer races through the first game of the match on Centre. Four first serves, two aces, and the easiest of love games.
1310 : Serena still a break up in the second set against Vinci on Court Two. It's 4-2 in that one, and theend appears to be nigh.
1308 : The fun has been rudely halted out on 12. Kuznetsova and Mauresmo have levelled the score at 3-3 against the Brits.
1305 : Kohlschreiber and Federer meet for the fourth time today - and the third on grass. They've played in Halle in 2005 and 2008 (in the final) and Federer won both in straight sets.
1301 : Federer steps out on Centre with his full get-up - waistcoat, jacket and all. The clouds have dispersed slightly, so we might have a longer wait for the roof.
1301 : Robson's singles conqueror, Daniela Hantuchova, has hit back from a break down to take the first set against Ai Sugiyama.
1258 : Stoop and Robson are having a purple patch against Grand Slam champions Kuznetsova and Mauresmo: the Brits have moved into a 3-0 lead early in the second set. We may yet get to use 'Stoop to conquer' headlines one more time.
1256 : Soderling wins the tie-break 9-7 to take a one-set lead over Almagro.
1251 : Williams consolidates the break with a backhand winner down the line.
1249 : Big problems for Vinci now, as she drops her first service game of the second set to love.
1247 : Soderling and Almagro are into a tie-break in their first set. Winner of that one plays Fed or Kohlschreiber.
1245 : And that's also the score Williams wins by against Vinci on Court Two. Just two points lost behind the first serve by Serena, who's looked hugely impressive. Vinci's had her moments, though.
1245 : Kuznetsova and Mauresmo are just too strong for Robson and Stoop at the moment, and take out the first set 6-3.
1240 : More omens against a shock from Kohlschreiber or Fish today: not only have they never beaten today's opponents, they've also never got to round four in SW19.
1238 : Vinci holds serve for the first time, but can make no impression on the Serena delivery as the number-two seed moves within one game of taking out the opening set.
1234 : Williams consolidates the break for a 4-1 lead. She's starting to hit the ball with real venom, forcing Vinci to duck one bullet.
1230 : Williams gets revenge on Vinci with a lob of her own as she regains a two-game lead at 3-1.
1228 : French Open runner-up Robin Soderling is in action against Nicolas Almagro on Court Three. Soderling, of course, lost to Federer in that Paris final, and that's who he'll (probably) face next if he wins today. Soderling currently leads 4-3 on serve in the opening set.
1227 : Williams saves the first two with big first serves, but Vinci gets into the rally on the third break point and another good lob gives her the chance to get in to the net and break back with a crisp backhand volley.
1226 : Serena's 2-0 up early doors, but Vinci has a contender for shot/fluke of the Championships as she returns a Williams smash with a kind of smash-lob thing that sails over her opponent and drops just inside the baseline. It helps her bring up 0-40 on the Williams serve.
1225 : Both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have tricky-looking matches today - against Philipp Kohlschreiber and Mardy Fish respectively. However, Federer and Djokovic both have have 3-0 records against today's opponents so will be confident of safe progress to round four.
1220 : It's the bottom half of the men's singles third round today, and there are some good-looking clashes there. As always, we've got all the stats and figures at hand. We'll be previewing the big games over the next hour.
1217 : Bit of a late start on Court Two. Perhaps Serena didn't know the way. Anyway, she's under way now and starts with a love service game against Roberta Vinci.
1215 : Laura Robson and Georgie Stoop are in action on Court 12. They've got a tough task, though, against the 16th seeds Amelie Mauresmo and Svetlana Kuznetsova.
1204 :There's a 70 to 80 per cent chance of rain, say the weather boffins, and it could be heavy as well. We shall see.
1200 : Excitingly, there are showers forecast today. This would normally be a bad thing, but we can't be the only ones excited about seeing that shiny new Centre Court roof in action. The roof has already been closed this morning due to rain, but it's open now.
1150 : Welcome to day five of Wimbledon. Federer, Djokovic, Tsonga and Cilic are all in action on the show courts later, Serena Williams is first up on Court Two shortly and there are plenty of Brave Brits in doubles action throughout the day. Stick with us for all the latest.
