The 2004 champion arrives at Wimbledon with question marks over her fitness, although there is no doubting her ability to win on grass when at her best. A shoulder problem which kept her out of action for two months in the spring hampered her during the French Open and she was convincingly beaten by Ana Ivanovic in her semi-final. Beaten in the semi-finals by Amelie Mauresmo a year ago and by Venus Williams 12 months earlier, she should at least reach the last four for a fourth year in a row.
